This restaurant was chosen for a family meeting. I was a little nervous as it's a fish restaurant and I am allergic to shell fish and onions but a telephone call in advance quickly sorted that out and it was no problem at all to them. Our party were first to arrive and probably last to leave but the whole... More

I would say very basic rooms for a heft price. The room decor is below sub standard, the dining room and the lounge are so depressed. The rooms and bathroom are amateurish decorated, could see the previous paint. I agree with the other review and i qoute 'other issue was the geriatric bathroom, with dreadful water pressure, very slow filling... More

Rooms comfortable but expensive. The "hotel" lounge was poor. The food was excellent but expensive. The breakfast menu was restricted for residence who were expected to pay extra for full breakfast. Nice place if you have deep pockets

I had the great pleasure of having lunch recently at the Old Passage Inn. It is situated in the most delightful part of Gloucestershire and the drive there is wonderful as you pass through Frampton. For those of you who are interested there are some lovely walks that you are able to do either before or after you have eaten.... More

This is a wonderful restaurant with 3 en suite bedrooms. Sadly, despite lovely beds, stylish furniture, charming staff, super breakfasts and a fabulous location, the experience was not what we were expecting. It's clear that the rooms are a side line to the main restaurant business and this leads to the first grumble - no check in between 4 and... More

Just home from a wonderful stay at the Old Passage. The room was very nice and the views of the Severn were great. What can I say about the food, well its truly amazing. We had the taster menu, best lobster ever and we 'forced desserts down too'. I say forced as the taster menu was perfectly adequate but the... More

My partner and I started with the Atlantic prawns pre starters to share. They were woolly. We had potted shrimps and fish soup to start. The shrimps were ok, I had two mouthfuls of the soup and left it there. We had half a lobster and chips each as a main. Well I say half a lobster, it was the... More

On arrival my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the room and immediately started to unwind when we took in the lovely view of the river glistening in the summer light. We enjoyed the free brownies and helped ourselves to some of the drinks from the minibar (although there isn't a price list anywhere so... More

We visited the restaurant with a Travelzoo offer and were not disappointed. The seafood platter was wonderful, the home made bread delicious and the Three Choirs local wines - both sparkling and still - were a real treat. The setting is lovely. Yes it is expensive, yes the service was a bit abrupt at times, as other reviewers have noted,... More
