We booked for lunch and ate here today, it was fantastic. Not being really Sunday roast folk it was a nice fishy menu, though there was lamb. No rushing, plenty of time to savour and digest before your next course. Most enjoyable and very pleasant staff. Yes, it's on the higher end of the money scale but worth every penny....

Thank you so much for your lovely review & very pleased that you enjoyed your lunch, together with the Three Choirs wine, which is from Gloucestershire - although the other side of the river, I hope it will encourage you to drink more English wine - it's English Wine Week this week!! I hope we'll see you back at the...

Even on a day with pouring rain the view out towards the river and Newnham on the other side is lovely. The food exceeded our expectations which were very high as we having been coming here since the conversion from an old pub to a sophisticated restaurant. The only quibble with our Frito mixto starter of breaded calamari, oysters, and...

Thank you so much for your very kind review - it is always a real reward for the staff to see their hard work appreciated. We'll take the criticism about the Fritto Misto being a bit too much - something we would prefer than if you thought it overpriced and not enough!, so long as you enjoyed. I hope we...

We ate and stayed at the Old Passage and really enjoyed our visit. The setting by the Severn is lovely and we had a good walk before dinner. The room was well equipped and comfortable and very quiet. The meal was excellent. The halibut, as you would expect for a place specialising in fish, was really good and well sauced....

The fish soup is truly delicious. The scallops equally so. I recently visited this restaurant, it was so good I booked a table for another lunch within 5 weeks. The food is prepared beautifully and the whole ambience lovely, a very special find and one I can't recommend highly enough. The location of the restaurant and light airy dining room...

Simply the best lunch. Fabulous food and service. Great with the children and good coeliac options. Wonderful fish and lobster. I could not recommend this restaurant enough. Plus a great location, what more could you ask for!

This is a restaurant very much at the top of its game. Terrific food, quietly attentive but efficient service and a totally charming setting in a light and airy dining room with views across the Severn, combine to make a highly pleasurable dining experience. The emphasis is very much on the fish, with a fine selection on offer, including brill,...

I enjoyed my first visit and am sure it won't be my last. I chose the mussels to start and they were excellent with a great liquor that deserved finishing with the spoon provided. Main course was a simply cooked grilled lemon sole with new potatoes. That was an excellent example of straightforward cooking that had nowhere to hide and...

This restaurant with two rooms to stay in is a gem of a place. We went for a family celebration for dinner and then spent the night here too. The setting is beautiful and the bedroom looked out over the river Severn. We asked for some champagne before dinner to be delivered to our room and this was done immediately...

We had a birthday lunch here on a Sunday. The service was relaxed, fine for us, but might have been slow if you had been in a rush. The food was good, well cooked, and nicely presented. I thought the prices were a little high, but is is an amazing location, right next to the River Severn. The staff were...

Thank you so much for your review and very pleased that you and your family enjoyed the birthday lunch. I am sorry that you found the service slow but all our food is all cooked to order and so some dishes may take longer than others. Also most of our guests come for the dining experience and do not want...
