My wife and I visited on the afternoon of Saturday 30th July. Can I start by saying that the whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our seaview table quickly and professionally. We were asked if we wanted tea or coffee straight away and it was served freshly. The sandwiches and...

Decided to go to Southend for a silly day out and stayed here over night. Ideal location for beach, town and trains. Parking free and easy. The hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful and happy. Our room was on the small side but had a lovely view. It was cosy and clean. It could have done with aircon...

This is a rather old fashioned hotel though a good location with only a short walk into town and nice views overlooking the sea. Parking although free on the road outside can be tricky as it gets very busy along the road so you have to hope you find a space. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a...

Only stayed 1 night but thought the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a room with a sea view and included a breakfast to our stay. Highly recommend Westcliff Hotel. Location was central with a short walk to the town centre sea views all the way. Nice place to stay.

We had a nice stay at the westcliff hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything we needed was in the hotel. Had a few problems with the shower going from boiling hot to freezing cold but other than that a good stay. Didn't try the breakfast as we didn't make it in time. Thank you.

We enjoyed this old style hotel situated in a beautiful location, on the cliff overlooking Thames estuary. Rooms and bathrooms clean. Kettle with tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided in the room. Free wifi. Comfortable beds. Pillows slightly too soft. As it is an old building getting to some rooms with a pram can be challenging so next time we...

Stayed for 1 night this weekend. Never again. 3 weeks ago I called up to book the room with the jacuzzi, they said it would be £189 which I said I would call back. I called back last week and they said they would give me a discount which I though was pretty good until I got to the room...

Dear Julia Your review has been noted, less than factual and highly inflammatory. It was brought to my attention by the Reception staff, that two rooms connected to your allocated room had complained that they could smell smoke and loud music. The night porter then knock on your door and requested you not to smoke in the room and turn...
