We visited Epping with our big family, and needed a room close to where our son lives. The Gate House was exactly what we wanted. Close, clean, comfortable and giving us exactly everything we needed. We will definitively come back.

Excellent stay at the Gate House, we were attending a wedding at Gaynes Park and the location was only 10 minutes away. Lovely comfortable room with en-suite facilities and was made very welcome. Good breakfast, choice of full English or continental. Thank you Jane.

A lovely little B&B on the premises of Haywards Restaurant and the Forest Gate Inn pub which makes it an ideal place stay after enjoying a great evening in the Pub or Restaurant or even both also perfectly situated if you wanted to explore Epping Forest and Epping town centre. It has Four Rooms 3 of which are located upstairs...

A first class stay at the delightful Gate House! A warm welcome from Jane, a spotlessly clean and immaculate room and a delicious breakfast! Would wholeheartedly recommend and would love to return to eat at Haywards, the adjoining restaurant. The pub next door - The Forest Gate - was great too!

I had a wonderful stay at the Gate House. I was traveling alone from the U.S.and quite unfamiliar with the area. I had many questions that were immediately answered via e-mail before my arrival. Jane could not have been any more welcoming and accommodating. My room was very clean and had a hair dryer, coffee, tea, biscuits and toiletries. The...

Lovely stay! Jane is super friendly and really welcoming! Breakfast was delicious. Rooms are clean and bed was so comfy! We had a drink in the pub just across from here which was also very nice and welcoming with good prices. We didnt eat as we went out for a birthday but the menu looked lovely!

Such a wonderful find. We stayed here for one night, to attend a wedding at Gaynes Park, just 10mins drive away. And I only regret that it wasn't for longer. The cottage has 4 rooms available, all beautifully furnished, with clean en suites and wonderful cotton sheets. There is a communal lounge and kitchen you can enjoy or use your...

Great location for walking straight out Into Epping Forest. Room immaculate, with extra touches such as bottled water, biscuits, shower cap with the toiletries! Wifi available, pleasant sitting room with books and info on the locality. A warm welcome received and the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble, if you needed to ask. A matter of steps away...

Lovely clean room and bathroom. Really tasty cooked breakfast - definitely worth the extra money! Really convenient location for a wedding in Gayne's park. Only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that check out was slightly earlier than I'd have liked.
