Staff very friendly, breakfast could be improved. Rooms need updating, we had a family room with sink in bedroom as bathroom too small to accommodate . Good location and ample parking. Would consider staying here again.

Had the impression the previous owner (Ray) has retired or sub let this for the winter, The room (3) was comfortable if a little small with plenty of tea and coffee, However I felt the bath definitely needed a grab rail or two, I was also attracted by the photos of cooked breakfasts and was disappointed by the subsituted continental...

I booked a family room at this hotel via booking.com. The room and environment were clean. Nice and friendly staff. You get more than enough tea bags and coffee. The location is great, very close to the beach, very close to shops, Sainsbury's included and the high street. Hotel also has a car park and is very close to Clacton...

I booked just one night at the Grosvenor hotel (through Booking.com) as I was meeting up with a friend over from Bristol. One of the reasons for choosing the Grosvenor hotel was its large car park at the front. Parking in Clacton can be a nightmare especially near the sea front and some of the other hotels have very limited...

Stayed here last year. Looked around other hotels and B&Bs in the area for best price ect, and this is the best by far in the area. Got a large room, clean and no noise. Breakfast was great. Not that many hotels in the area and at their prices, choose them.

Having stayed in numerous hotels and B&B s in Clacton over the year, this one was by far the best. Rooms were immaculate, large and with very generous amounts of bottled water, tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was extremely good a choice of Kippers, haddock and egg, full English or various sausage, bacon etc sandwiches. Unlimited juice and fresh fruit...
