It would be the first one I would book when going back to Clacton. everything is just a few minutes walk from all the shops ,restaurants , pier and beach....

Stayed in Clacton few times with the children and this is the best B & B yet for a short stay. Really nice room, big ensuite, comfy beds with fresh, clean, crisp bedsheets. Good size room and excellent ensuite! The owners are really nice, excellent breakfast, very tasty and very close to the pier, restaurants and amusements. Only downside is...

Very limited parking. Tired, very average bed and breakfast. Rooms are basic, breakfast was cheap quality but edible. The Sandrock is advertised as 4 star, it says 3 star on the wall by the car park. After staying away a lot for work it is clear the Sandrock is a basic 3 star establishment. They use the 4 star to...

The owners were very friendly and breakfast was very good The location is good as it is only a 5 minute walk to the seafront and then we walked for 40 minutes along the front Plenty of attractions in the area and restaurants for dinner. The Sandrock has...

Just an overnight stay ,Had to change booking last minute which was no problem for owners , easy to find just off sea front but right opposite that "big purple place " ( premier inn) I personally prefer to stay in a homely b& b or small hotel so this is a little Clacton gem ! Spotless , easy going...

The Sandrock in Clacton-on-Sea is a lovely place to stay. Ideally located close to the beach and Pier. Vegetarian breakfasts were provided during our stay upon request without any hassle and were of a very good standard. But ... Unfortunately the standard of housekeeping with regards to the rooms was very poor. The only task carried out each day was...
