The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the decor makes me feel as though im in a Harry Potter film! We resevered our table and the name was written on a slate which was perched on the table...

This is a lovely country pub with a great atmosphere. Old wood beams, low ceilings, nooks and crannies etc. There was a wonderful log fire burning when we visited. The restaurant was packed on a November Saturday lunch time (when Christmas shopping would have been the norm.) Testament to the draw of the place The food was amazing. Although it...

We came here for lunch the other day, did not stay here Very friendly, made us feel comfortable despite being the only "tourists" in the bar. Food was lovely, best ploughman's I have had in a long time, huge chunk of fresh bread, plenty of cheese and sides. The burger is also highly recommended When in the area again, will...

Had a meal here and the location is beautiful and pub full of character and charm. Ducks on the pond outside! We ate in the front garden. My daughter enjoyed an excellent burger, while I had a chicken wrap. To be honest I found the chicken in the wrap somewhat dry. Also someone was smoking inside the pub a couple...

We've just had a delicious, well priced lunch in this charming pub. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. I'm a vegetarian with coeliac disease so not the easiest customer and they were very helpful and I felt confident I wouldn't have any problems. Beautiful surroundings and only wish I'd known about it sooner. Will definitely be returning. Thanks

Stayed here for one night whilst attending a wedding at the local golf course. What a lovely place. Room was small but very clean and ample for an overnight stay. The grounds are lovely complete with ducks and a play area for children. Pub itself is amazing. Great staff and a breakfast so big I only got half way through....

Fantastic old pub, fab bubbly service, really friendly staff, mussels were tasty & lovely, best I have had! Food plentiful, chips, bread served with the mussels. Ceaser salad looked very appetising, and recommended by my dad. Definitely going return for another special occasion. Best pub food ever had!

Arrived here looking for supper on a wet Monday, and what a find! A great pint of Harveys, mussels and ribs to die for, and extra helpings on offer from a great host Arnie and his lovely wife. The ambiance, the food and the beer are a true tribute to Arnie, and is something that you simply must experience when...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Bull Inn was built between 1385 and 1425 and is reputed to be one of the oldest dwelling places in the country, but only became a pub towards the end of the 19th century. Set in 4 acres of rolling Sussex countryside, and within easy walking distance of beautiful Bewl Water, the Bull is very popular with walkers, cyclists and fishermen. A magnificent ancient building in a secluded location, the Inn has a wealth of old beams, low ceilings and quarry tiled floors that give it a real air of the traditional English Country pub. ... more   less
