We booked this hotel as part of a deal on-line, and it was very reasonably priced, in a good location within walking distance to the town centre. It had a really cosy and warm feel as we walked through the door. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the room itself was lovely and quaint, however the bathroom window...

We called in for a morning coffee, but was appalled by the quality of the coffee. The food was good and hotel warm and friendly. Set just on the edge of southwold, it makes a lovely start to,a day out. We were amazed that in this day of bean to,cup gadgets the hotel still served filter coffee which was nearly...

This hotel appears to receive very mixed reviews, some seem to love it, others are not so keen. I think that it all depends on which room you are offered. We stayed in room 2. This is a small room and a little tired but I can live with that. The thing I fid hard to accept is that the...

We thoroughly enjoyed our break. The room was spacious, though a little dark, the bed was very comfortable and there was everything in the room to make our stay complete. The room was really quiet, which you don't often get in more modern hotels. The food in the restaurant was fabulous and the staff very friendly. The hotel is well...

Travelled to this lovely hotel on Saturday 5th July for a few days break and yet again was not disappointed. Stayed in room 10 which was okay but was on the second floor and we soon got used to the stairs. We were welcomed very warmly as usual and really enjoyed our stay. I cannot fault this hotel. Breakfast was...

We stayed here on the May Bank holiday and the location of the hotel is very good, within easy walking distance of Southwold seafront. The staff were extremely helpful and the room we had (the Southwold suite, I believe) was very spacious with an en-suite bath and shower. The other good thing for us was that they allowed dogs and...

An unexpected delight. Rooms were warm and cosy, excellent shower. The meals and service were wonderful and the staff very friendly. Good central location for a walking tour of the town. Easy street parking.

The very poor bed ruined the stay. The room was very small and shabby but the bed was by far the worst thing. I explained on booking that a good bed was very important due to back problems. I understand from the manager that they have recently started an on going program to replace the beds.

Our room was very small, the only place to sit was on the bed and moving around the room needed coordination between us.The paintwork was peeling and grubby around the windows and the net curtains were grey. The room seemed neglected and in need of work. More shabby than chic. There was a warning in the shower room about problems...
