Stayed for a night as was close to family party. It is quite dated and rooms a bit tired but bedding was spotless amd comfortable. And room was clean. Breakfast was a disappointment mushrooms raw and not very hot. Staff were Great, friendly and welcoming.

3 day break, small room, bad heating, very noisey due to traffic , no hot water, old pub which pretends to be a hotel, needs total refurbishment. Will never stay there again. Not worth the money at any price.

Third time I have been here since Christmas. Very friendly welcome each time. Very cheap drinks, every sport on various tvs you could wish for. Clean looking and smelling and good pub vibe. Only small downside is no food on offer at lunchtime when I have been here

When we arrived, the barmaid was unfriendly, didn't tell us much about breakfast or what time we needed to check out. The room was small, shared bathroom not very clean, all the other staff wasn't friendly either. It was good to get given a key, and breakfast was decent, however in my opinion the stay wasn't worth £50.

Filthy rooms, disgusting breakfast, freezing cold room as no heating. Wifi advertised but only available in the dingy reception/bar area. Evening meals also advertised but on arrival II was informed that no meals were being served that particular evening. Would not recommend staying here at all.

Well I don’t really know where to start on First impressions its an old country pub that clearly has it local fan base! Check in was a little slow due to several unnecessary question and just general dilly dallying! The rooms lets just go with old and little run down, I looked out onto a flat roof that could do...

Having stayed here previously one two occasions, there was nowhere else in mind for our stay this time around. Travelled down from Newcastle upon Tyne for a weekend, friendly greetings from the staff and immediately made to feel welcome. Rooms are nice and we're perfect for our trip, comfy bed, nice deep bath for a soak in the evening and...

The staff where very friendly and helpful and despite being busy they took the time to have a chat and a laugh. Will most...

Hotel staff extremely welcoming and very helpful and chatty. We were in the old part of the hotel which was oak beams and uneven floors but quite good fun and absolutely fine for one evening. Have rated this down as the pub (a bit of a pool bar) advertised food in the seperate restaurant; but it was only on a...
