Just had a dance holiday at this hotel. The front of house staff are great; friendly, helpful, always with a smile and cheerful attitude working hard to make our stay a success. After this it is all down hill. We had two dinners in the ballroom and on both occasions the quality of the food was good. Unfortunately the food...

Pleasant hotel, friendly staff, very accessible with extensive car parking. Comfortable room - a bit on the small side for two people but OK for one although the bathroom was cramped. Good price. But dinner was ordinary and could have been warmer. Breakfast also disappointing. Shame as otherwise good

I was pleasantly surprised to find thIs hotel very clean and modern seeing as the building from the road looks quite old. As you enter the reception area it has the old feel to it but the rooms which were an extension to the original building were very clean and comfortable. Mum one complaint is that the room was by...

We attended a black tie charity ball at the Orwell and along with others decided to stay overnight. We booked a "luxury" room via Laterooms for £86 B&B. Not sure where the luxury was, although the bathroom looked nice. The bed was OK, comfortable and big enough. However, the room was unbearably hot (remember this is the beginning of April!)....

Upon our arrival we were very impressed with the grand entrance, the magnificent chandeliers and impressive paintings. The hotel is stunning and we found the place itself fascinating. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist and checked in quickly - the receptionist also upon our request booked a table for us for dinner at 7pm. Our room was as expected,...

My wife and I decided to return to Felixstowe for a holiday, where we lived for a couple of years after we were first married. We had not been to the Orwell Hotel before and chose the hotel because of its good value room price for B&B. I looked online on a hotel comparison website first, but booked over the...

As people who visit on a semi regular basis, this is our 'Treat Night' or 'Celebratory Night Out'. The place excels in being classy, old fashioned, and offers a complete personalised excellence!! This may be a hotel but PLEASE do not underestimate its restaurant facilities - With three different places within this hotel to eat, it offers a smart casual...

Having lived in Felixstowe for most of my life I don't have a single negative thing to say about this hotel. My school prom was here, along with many events and functions I have been to throughout my adult life. The service, the food, the atmosphere, the staff and the surroundings are always fantastic and never fail to disappoint. Within...

A Sunday lunch with a difference. We were with a group of friends celebrating a birthday. The staff were very patient as the singers in the group knew the words to the songs being played by the resident pianist, and so they sang along, much to the pianists delight. It was a good lunch too.
