Sunday lunchtime visit, 5 adults and 2 children. The service was OK, the waitress seemed nice and got the kids some crayons to draw with. The kids meals were also pretty good. The menu for adults is rather sparse and bulked out by around 10 types of burger. I had the cajun fish with sweet potato fries and it was...

Enjoyed a big room. At £130 not cheap but best available in area for date. Nicely furnished and had self catering facility. No parking so had to pay in daytime. No wifi reception at all upstairs so had to go to bar for a signal. Had good breakfast included at Byfords across the road. There are no good restaurants surprisingly...

We booked the King's Head for a family lunch during half term. We have been several times before and the food was as good as ever. The children's meals are great as they can just have smaller portions of the adults so get more choice than a usual children' s menu. Staff are friendly and helpful and service was good.

Arrived for pre booked lunch. As we had dogs we were put in a back area, which was dark and cold. We asked about having heating or the fire on. The fire couldnt be lit because the chimneys needed checking, they checked the boiler and the pressure was down so that is why there was no heat. Someone might look...

Great beer from local brewery's . Slow service let's it down a bit and a rather pricey . A pint of local brew and half a cider £6 !?!. Didn't get to eat as barman told us they were fully booked and we could only eat at 6pm if we'd vacated table by 6.30. Decided to give it a miss...

We had lovely roast beef and dessert plus one drink for £14.25 per head really good value. The beef was tender, the potatoes crispy, Yorkshire light and well cooked. The dessert was chocolate brownie which was amazing, and shout out to the young lady serving who we remembered that used to work in a Holt cafe 'jambo's', so lovely and...
