Attended a wedding at Gissing Hall and well I don't know where to start but I will start with this, ignore every 5* rating because I can tell you now they're clearly friends of the owners 'Martha' and 'Steve' because the place is a dive. Good luck having a shower in this place as the showers either don't work at...

Went to a wedding at this place, I feel sorry for the building this will never be suitable as a hotel or a venue it needs thousands of pounds to put right and I really believe it will never happen with the current owners. Had to clean the place day before the wedding and on the wedding day, lots of...

I had the most incredible weekend away at Gissing Hall. It's such a beautiful buildng, full of character and charm and great hosts. It was generally quite chaotic and it could have done with a bit more heating, but I was seriously impressed at the organisation required to host a huge party for the whole weekend with no glitches. Martha...

Stunning old building, with beautiful views and the host Martha is absolutely lovely. We had the time of our lives there. I would book it everyday! There is a great local pub down the road too and the locals are very friendly too

Had such a fun time on a double birthday weekend. Great to place to gather a load of people and have a good time. The building itself is fantastic and the staff there a lot of fun. Will definitely use it again for a party.

Where to start... Arrived for a friends wedding having been told they had lost our previous booking for a room and they were fully booked. (not convenient living 300 miles away). Luckily to our great relief, the owner had keys to the next door neighbours house who was away on holiday or the option of a broken old caravan at...

I had the most amazing weekend at Gissing Hall! Thanks to the hosts who made us feel welcomed and at home.. The rooms are dreamy, pretty décor and out of a movie! Albeit some of the areas in the manor are under renovation, the bedroom we stayed in (no 6) had the prettiest 4 poster bed, softest bed sheets and...

Firstly we planned to have our wedding here when it was owned by the previous owners, all was going well.... Then Steve and Martha took over! Our wedding was in June, and around March/April we were trying to get hold of the new owners to find out what is going to happen at our wedding. We tried for around 3...

Our weekend in Gissing Hall was the nicest in ages: Martha and the rest of the staff are naturally helpful and extremely polite; I wish every hotel I go had the same type of people in charge!! I am planning to go back soon. The rooms and the service are top quality, but not the price! The place is absolutely...
