Great location right on the shore. Room very stylish and comfortable. A little exposed to other visitors unless you keep curtains drawn. Convenient to Bunavalla harbour for heading out to Skellig Michael but weather landed our boat up at the another harbour. Lots of great places to eat nearby or self cater. And great walks all around. Highly recommend this...

A beautiful, cozy coastal apartment overlooking the ocean was the perfect mid-point spot for our two week trip to Ireland. We had intended to visit the Skelligs but sadly the weather did not permit it. Except for the crew filming the Star Wars movie who found their own way to the islands, the ferries were not running. But no matter,...

We spent a week at Iskeroon and had a great time exploring the Kerry Peninsula, from one end to the other. Although the weather wasn't quite ready for a run to Skellig Michael we certainly visited the museum and around Valentia Island for sightseeing. Great gardens are easily within a short drive from Iskeroon and the garden, easily walkable, of...

Staying at Iskeroon is like living in a painting. The surrounding views of islands, pristine beaches and towering mountains have to be seen to be believed and feature on many postcards of the area. We stayed in the larger downstairs apartment which is beautifully decorated and designed with love and attention to detail. Add to this the friendly welcome from...

The apartment is perched high on the coast offering panoramic views. Nicely equipped kitchen and apartment. One full day spent by boat to Skellig Michaels (1.75 hours each way) with Captain John (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/27/travel/off-ireland-a-rugged-journey-to-remote-ruins.html?ref=travel&_r=0). At the end of the driveway (near the gate) there is a wonderful hike (moderate) along the coast. Beautiful white sandy beach is your reward. Geraldine (your...

We were fortunate enough to have a week here in the spring and it is a wonderful destination. The accommodation is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly want. It is beautifully decorated with amazing fabrics and pictures. It is a perfect base for exploring the Ring of Kerry and The Dingle Peninsular although we could very happily just...

Recently returned from a trip exploring Cork & Kerry. We stayed for 3 nights at Iskeroon - which worked well with our combination of hotels and B & B's. This was by far the most relaxing place we stayed at. Make sure you take enough food so that you do not need to go shopping again - we were happy...

We came across Iskeroon by chance when Googling places to stay in Ireland. If you want a place to relax and 'get away from it all', this is it! We stayed in the upstairs studio with the sea view - perfect! The scenery is stunning. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and furnished to a high standard with lovely fabrics and...

we stayed in the self-catering studio for a week - it was very peaceful and we had a wonderful time exploring the area. The studio is well-equipped and extremely comfortable and our hosts were very friendly and helpful, booking us a trip to Skellig (well worth it). Well-worth a visit - an excellent base from which to explore Kerry.

Iskeroon is in a fabouous location just off the ring of Kerry. It is a steep drive down from the main road but the directions we had from the owners were good and it was easy to find and certainly worth the trip. Our room was really lovely, tastefully decorated, spacious and spotless. When planning our trip to Kerry our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Iskeroon's two suites and studio apartment offer superb accommodation in an unbeatable location, set in 4 acres of sub-tropical gardens which lead down to a private pier and the crystal clear waters of Derrynane Harbour. Derrynane and the nearby village of Caherdaniel are rightly regarded as the prettiest and most special parts of the Ring of Kerry. Iskeroon is within walking distance of a superb Blue Flag beach, Derrynane National Park and the harbour from which a boat leaves for the Skellig Islands, as well as a great pub. Iskeroon offers a superb base from which to explore the Iveragh, Beara and Dingle Peninsulas, Valentia Island and the magnificent National Park in Killarney."You can 'do' the Ring of Kerry a thousand times and Iskeroon will never reveal itself. Iskeroon's worldly brand of adorableness and utterly secluded seafront location ensure that it never wants for business. It's the kind of place where people have standing reservations for the same room for the same dates year after year. An hour from Kenmare, in what connoisseurs of the Ring consider the prettiest pocket of the Iveragh Peninsula....The Irish are exceptionally well traveled in their own country, and everyone I talked to who knew Iskeroon said it has the best views their land has to offer....Iskeroon is a romantic, elemental wind-tossed place that makes it easy to fall in love." “If you're staying longer than a day or two get the suite with it's full kitchen, lots of seafood nearby to cook (lobsters particularly right off the dock) and just maybe a fresh egg or two. If you're looking for a full view ask for the room facing the ocean with it's deck and chairs.”
