My 12 year old daughter, her best friend and I managed to grab a last minute week here (ahead of the next lockdown which was announced while we were away). It was the last week of the season and the hotel was quiet, on our last full day there were only around 25 guests! The hotel is smart and clean, and Covid precautions are very good. Rooms are a good size and we were in a lovely spot with a balcony overlooking the pool. Food is served to you at the buffet and whilst this does cause some delays, and limits your ability to see what is available before you choose, it really isn’t a problem! The pools are lovely, filled with saltwater, and the slides are great fun! Despite small numbers of guests all the pools were kept open. Food at the buffet was better than I expected, as a vegetarian I found there was always a hot choice and lots of lovely fresh salads and veg. The drinks choice was perfectly adequate, the wine served at dinner was lovely. We tended to have lunch at the fun pool snack bar - a limited range of options but fine for a light lunch, and lovely service. For breakfast and evening meal we ate at the buffet (the a la cartes were closed), and it was pleasant to be able to sit inside or outside for this. The bar was a nice area to spend an hour after dinner, not much entertainment by this time of the season, but lots of families playing cards and other games. Drinks were table service til the very last night when it was bar service. There was an animation team who did their best to get people involved in a range of activities. I had a massage at the spa and it was lovely, not cheap but reasonably priced. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming, their working conditions (gloves / masks) can’t be great when wearing all day but they got on with it with no apparent issue. There was a real pride in the hotel, and the friendliness of the staff gave it a family run feel. Very impressed all round by the hotel - a little gem. …
This was my first holiday on my own as my husband didn’t want to fly wearing a mask for so long and I can honestly say I loved every minute. I’m so glad I stayed at this hotel even though it was cut short by 2 days due to the quarantine changes in England. I arrived and my suitcase was sanitized whilst I checked in, check in was quick and the only negative was not being told about pool towels and safe hire for the week but not a major issue. Towel hire is €5 which you get back and you can change your towels each day at the wellness centre between 9-11 and 5-7 in the afternoon. The safe cost €20 which you didn’t get back. The safe is small and wouldn’t fit an iPad or anything that size in. There were plenty of sanitising stations around the hotel and all staff wore masks/face coverings, you have to wear face coverings in the hotel but not around the pool area or whilst in the restaurant. The staff kept the whole hotel and pool area so clean. You were given a wristband to wear which you scan when you go in the restaurant and when you’ve ordered drinks and snacks at the pool. I was driven up to my room which was 916, no sea view but I had a balcony looking into the hills. My room was so clean and had plenty of sockets, mirrors and really good lighting. The tv remote and air conditioning remote were all in plastic covers. I was advised the fun pool did snacks so I wandered up there and had some pizza. Socrates who worked there all the time I was there was so lovely and very friendly and polite. I ended up going to this pool every day, views were beautiful and you could get snacks and drinks from 10.30am plus ice cream so why move! There is a lifeguard on duty each day. There is the main pool and also an adult only pool so plenty of choice. You aren’t allowed to save sun-beds and I never saw anyone try to and to be honest there was no need to as there were plenty. I settled myself at the fun pool at 7.30am each day so I could get as much sun as possible and usually by around 10-10.30 people would start to arrive so there was no rush to grab a sunbed at all. A staff member from the Wellness Centre did approach me when I was at the pool and ask if I’d be interested in the treatments but I declined as I was there just to relax and what I liked was there was no pressure or hard sell from her. She did say if I changed my mind just to call in and see them, I was really impressed as in other hotels normally you get pestered all the time. I ate in the main restaurant and the staff were very good you didn’t touch anything the staff served you and put whatever you asked for on your plate, they even used tongs to give you your salt and pepper sachets. Food was good and the soups especially were excellent, very tasty. A lovely waiter who I think was called George was so nice and made sure I had my drinks and got me a bottle of wine to take to my room, really great service both at dinner and at breakfast. I sat outside for breakfast and it was so beautiful, very relaxing start to my day. The bar area upstairs was lovely to sit in and enjoy a drink in the evening and I never once felt uncomfortable being on my own. The hotel is quite hilly but there is a golf buggy which drives you up the hills. The pool area and the grounds were stunning lit up at night. I will definitely return to this hotel whether with my husband or on my own as I had such a lovely relaxing time in beautiful surroundings and the staff were so lovely. …
We booked last minute and went to the hotel with another family. In times of COVID the staff were amazing and took our safety so seriously!! Exceptional cleanliness and help. The Wellness centre staff were brilliant (Anastasia & Katherina) at helping us to relax. The restaurant staff were attentive (George especially) and very strict on the PPE. At the fun pool the life guard Katerina, was brilliant and friendly even helping with the kids swimming to give tips and advice. The staff Panos and Socratis were brilliant and amazing with our kids at giving them that little bit of freedom. Make sure and take your own tennis balls as despite Maria’s best efforts we had too climb the fence to get them, and the thorns are sharp!! Also watch out for the shop keeper, he can be a little difficult. But the hotel was great!! Highly recommended!!…
This hotel staff is among the friendliest and most helpful ,I have come across in the hospitality industry. The establishment at this place , is really taking the whole corona issue seriously. They are making sure that everyone is following the rules and we noticed already at arrival. The buffet restaurant serves food in a very militant way ,however , we appreciated this way of doing things since we understand the times we are living. Huge variety of food delicious and a lot of flavor. A: The facilities, infrastructure and deco are up to par with what you would expect in a 4 star hotel. B: Entertainment in general for me was a big minus; especially regarding the Kids’ Club because of the following reasons. 1. Unclear information on where and when the kids’ activities would occur ie the mini disco + the Kids’ Club program. ( viral information for parents with kids) l would have loved to receive this information at check in. 2. The Mini Disco location could have been closer to the restaurants and more effort could be put by the animation team for the Disco to invite all kids for the disco. 3 .The best entertainment was a trio band ( 2 men and a lady). Great Music C: Amazing staff, l wish l could mention all of them by name but they were all so friendly and went out of their way to help. The lifeguard at the kids’ pool Katarina was amazing. She was really nice with all the children. D: We treated ourselves to The Wellness Spa treatments. We highly recommend their treatments. Al in all it was a great holiday, food and weather…
Very clean and safe family hotel. Sanitizers everywhere. A bit of a steep walk to our room, but was glad of a bit of exercise if honest! Great salt water pool and waterslides are brilliant fun and closely supervised by 2 lifeguards. Main pool good fun too; which had a shallow and deeper end, always had a lifeguard on duty. Not enough sunbeds though as people did reserve them very early but could always get a lounger and the waterslide pool which I preferred (didnt open until 11am). Buffet was clean, a bit of a confusing system for queuing for food but I preferred that to self service. The evening entertainment was a bit dull but they really did try to get people involved. All in all a great 7 night stay at an uncertain time with Covid but thought they handled it really well.
