For our girls' getaway, my mom, sisters & I stayed in a lakefront cottage. The calm, blue waters of Lake Erie were so pretty and relaxing. We loved the walking and biking paths, the gas fire pit, and the pool & hot tub. What we...More
WE stayed in one of the new 'cabins'. The name cabin is a misnomer as the units are basically upgrade mobile homes without wheels. They were quite nice inside, but certainly not worth the $300 per night charge. Also the daily $7 'resort fee' did...More
This was our forth year at the lodge. We always have a great tiime and once again enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was the service and menu at the Horizon's restaurant. Prices are too high for the quality and service. We waited over an...More
The lodge has never disappointed me. It is a beautiful spot to enjoy many activities. The staff is always helpful and courteous. The rooms are spacious and clean. The amenities are always available. The food is excellent and the breakfast buffet has many delicious choices.

There is a paved trail along the lake into Geneva State Park, past the Marina with boats and the beach. About 2.25 miles long with benches near The Lodge for catching the sunset over the lake. Easy and flat if you are thinking of riding bikes or hiking with little ones.
There are also unpaved gravel/wild trails throughout the park- 3 levels of difficulty from easy to hard, I believe. The front desk has a map to keep you on track! This summer The Lodge is adding a zipline Canopy Tour and Challenge Course for adults and one for kids, so that may be something exciting to do as well.
Also, (I love your name!) there is an Irish pub open on weekends in summer that is family friends and serves Irish food, even kid friendly dishes. Hope this helps!
