We spent one night here, reserved the queen suite. It was very clean, and the young woman at check-in couldn't have been nicer, but the suite itself was a bit disappointing. Clean and roomy, but very tired furniture, bedding and carpeting. The sign in the...More
Very nice, clean and inviting. Staff very pleasant. Walking area to walk along the shores of Lake Erie. Close to wonderful Wineries all with in minutes of the Lodge can register for shuttle so you don't have to drive to select Wineries.
This was my second trip to this hotel. It has clean, spacious rooms.
Lobby and bar are nicely decorated for the holidays.
Beautiful indoor pool with warm water.
Restaurant is good value although the menu is somewhat limited.
The new cottages are very nice. It had a refrigererator, microwave, a front porch, fireplace, 2-3 televisions, dishes, and a dish washer. There was a gas powered bonfire area with chairs nearby. The cottage was very clean and had a good view of Lake Erie.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodations were very nice and the wine tour was great. Lots of great wineries in the area and the lake is beautiful. We would definitely come back.

There is a paved trail along the lake into Geneva State Park, past the Marina with boats and the beach. About 2.25 miles long with benches near The Lodge for catching the sunset over the lake. Easy and flat if you are thinking of riding bikes or hiking with little ones.
There are also unpaved gravel/wild trails throughout the park- 3 levels of difficulty from easy to hard, I believe. The front desk has a map to keep you on track! This summer The Lodge is adding a zipline Canopy Tour and Challenge Course for adults and one for kids, so that may be something exciting to do as well.
Also, (I love your name!) there is an Irish pub open on weekends in summer that is family friends and serves Irish food, even kid friendly dishes. Hope this helps!
