One one level this is a pretty spectacular hotel. The building, once The Great Southern Hotel, which opened in 1897, is a grand old hotel with a spectacular lobby and a kind and gracious staff. The rooms are beautiful and the beds super comfortable with pillowtop mattresses, nicely appointed bathrooms, shower heads enormous, just a lovely place. So imagine my...

The friendly staff and the decorated lobby (for the holidays) were the only good things during my stay. My husband, young daughter and I recently stayed here for one night. Check in was easy and front desk staff very friendly but I'm afraid that's where it ends. Our room was so small, we had 2 beds and barely any room...

The hotel is in downtown Columbus, pretty close to the river and some good restaurants, pubs, and cafes. It is in a historic building with a nice lobby. That said, the room itself was rather small (with one king bed and two people in it) and was somewhat disappointing in terms of the price. I think this might have been...

I don't normally review unless I have a fantastic experience, unfortunately my experience with the Westin has left such a lasting bad impression that I feel the need to warn people not to waste their money. I will begin this experience with some background on myself, I have lived in Columbus for almost 10 years and the Westin has always...

I stay at here every month due to its proximity to the office and preferred hotel chain status. The last two times, I've had the inability to connect to wifi. The last time, I spent over an hour on the phone with their ISP's customer service for them to say they can't figure it out and I'd have to switch...

The Westin Hotel downtown Columbus Ohio was the hotel recommended to guests attending a family wedding late Oct 2016 at this hotel. I reserved 3 rooms for my family. We were traveling in from out of state with 4 children and 6 adults. I called on three different occasions to confirm rooms. Each time the staff person could only find...

Small, tired-looking rooms are generally not the Westin's brand, but that's what you get here. Old buildings can be charming, and this one has possibilities, but the first thing that hit my eyes when entering the room was a decidedly un-charming old heating unit under a window covered by a shabby shade. Someone had ripped the decorative trim from the...

I have stayed in my share of "historic" hotels in my life, not by choice, but where conferences were held. This was one of the better ones, but still not my choice of accommodations. When the atmosphere makes you feel that US Grant was in the room right before you, something is lost in the translation. This time I felt...
