I must say I was not expecting the hotel to be as accommodating as it was. But, traveling for the holidays is a must. I was traveling with my husband and daughter. The front desk staff that we talked to at check in, I believe it was Krystal and Missy, were very proficient and they upgraded us for free. (I...

Dear JKernPie78: Thanks for taking the time to complete a review of your stay with us! So glad to hear that our team was on point with the Midwestern Hospitality. I do recommend you head back to our great city during the summer months -- we have some wonderful art festivals, jazz & ribs at the river, and one of...

This is an absolutely fantastic hotel, with great history behind it. From the moment you walk in the hotel, you're greeted by the cool 'living wall' to the right before the foyer opens up to a magnificent lobby. The front desk agent told me that the lobby was renovated last year, but that they worked hard to retain the original...

Stayed for the first time at this property for a business meeting. I want to start by saying I stay in hotels at least 50 nights per year so I have some background for comparison. The two-story lobby is beautiful and the check-in staff was efficient and friendly. I had a regular room which was very small by today's standards....

Newly renovated however poor service. We did not realize how far we would need to travel to visit OSU and other activities. Had difficulties receiving refunds or items charged to my credit card which were not approved. Called the hotel 8 times to receive a refund. Accommodations were nice but beware of the food at the hotel, we could not...

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff is responsive and professional. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Ate in the restaurant, the food was out of this world. Kudos to the chef. Would most definitely recommend this hotel.

This historic hotel in downtown Columbus has all the charm of a by-gone era. The lobby is grand and the room where we held the wedding reception (the same room where William McKinley had his inaugural ball) was perfect for the occasion. The wait staff, indeed all of the hotel staff, were accommodating and proficient. Do not expect large rooms...

Dear Diane K.: thank you for taking time to complete a review of our historic property. I am so happy to hear that our associates offered hospitality that we can be proud of. I appreciate your comments regarding the size of the bathrooms --- they are, as you mention, undersized based on today's standards. Operating in a historic building always...

The hotel is nice enough and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We were checked in and out quickly and efficiently. Valets did a remarkable job and our car was always brought out quickly. We were in a junior suite and it was just the right size. The heater in the living room had a problem heating, but the...

One one level this is a pretty spectacular hotel. The building, once The Great Southern Hotel, which opened in 1897, is a grand old hotel with a spectacular lobby and a kind and gracious staff. The rooms are beautiful and the beds super comfortable with pillowtop mattresses, nicely appointed bathrooms, shower heads enormous, just a lovely place. So imagine my...

The friendly staff and the decorated lobby (for the holidays) were the only good things during my stay. My husband, young daughter and I recently stayed here for one night. Check in was easy and front desk staff very friendly but I'm afraid that's where it ends. Our room was so small, we had 2 beds and barely any room...

The hotel is in downtown Columbus, pretty close to the river and some good restaurants, pubs, and cafes. It is in a historic building with a nice lobby. That said, the room itself was rather small (with one king bed and two people in it) and was somewhat disappointing in terms of the price. I think this might have been...
