Booked for one night drive thru site, plenty of room. Found staff very friendly and helpful. A gem of a park tucked away off main drag. Very clean and tidy. Peaceful location.Ended staying for 2 nights. Have told our family to add to list of places to stop. Definitely recommend for a quiet stop.
Stayed Thursday 5th March for one night in a Superior Cabin. The park is located 5 km's from Whyalla CBD - seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, certainly not in a built up area of the town. Yes that's my fault for not checking the location of this park before I booked there. Beware the park does not have free WIFI, they refuse to pay the cost to have NBN connected because of their isolated position. Lucky you can still get mobile reception with your phone though. The park looks a bit rough, gravel everywhere no green grass around the cabins and sites. Seems its popular with tradies and truck drivers not a family friendly park, nothing there for kids to do. Really disappointed with our cabin, the pictures on their website are old ones probably taken when the cabins were brand new. The cabins are showing signs of wear and tear and need to be repaired, as well as the furniture inside needs updating. We had Cabin 7 the bathroom exhaust fan was not working, the vertical blinds on sliding door were faulty with 3 verticals missing, generally the cabin was not maintained as you would expect, management should be checking these things prior to guest arriving. It shouldn't be up to the guests to tell them about these things. We did not feel comfortable being there, glad it was only for one night and were happy when we left the next morning.…
Stayed over 2 nights the owners of the site are very friendly and helpful. Very quite with good facilities. the toilets where cleaned every day and were spotless and the men's didn't smell. Would recommend this site and will be staying again if I am in the area.
This was the first park we looked at and we were happy enough with it so decided to book in. The gentleman who looked after us was very pleasant and we asked for a drive through spot and that wasn't a problem. The rates were good and you have everything you need here so nothing to complain about. We also liked the position, close enough to the areas we wanted to look at and we are on the way to our next stop. All up good stop.
Reading some other reviews, I think some people are confused between this and the foreshore park. You cannot walk to beach from here...well it would be a long walk! Quiet park out of town. Good size spots. Amenities block needs a lot of work. Mens constantly smells like urine and unsure if they were cleaned regularly. They need a good spruce up! Owners helpful and friendly enough. Very quiet at night. If you want to be near town and on the beach, go to the other caravan park, not this one!
