Best B&B ever absolutely beautiful spot, sparkling clean and everything you need. Delicious breakfast of top quality foods. Chocs , biscuits and a nice bottle of wine what more could you ask for. Beautiful flowers from the garden arranged to perfection. John and Nell are amazing hosts they love a chat but respect your privacy you wouldn’t know they were next door. This was our 4th visit and we will continue every year we love it so much. So so happy we found this little gem and highly recommend if you look for romantic tranquility or just a quiet time away .
We look forward all year to our annual holiday at Close Encounters B & B. The decor is attractive and the accommodation designed for comfort and convenience. Its location makes it easy to explore every part of the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, from Victor Harbor to Port Elliot and Goolwa, and many of the slightly more distant historic and attractive small towns. Our hosts are experienced professionals, who extend a warm welcome, and take care to ensure that every detail is in perfect order. Thank you, Nell and John!
This was the best B&B my wife and I have ever been to. Sparkling clean with every amenity you could possibly want. A substantial and varied feast offered for breakfast and many extras like quality choccies, biscuits and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge. Set on about 3 acres of protea bushes and other trees, there was a view over Victor Harbor to Granite Island and the causeway. Hosts Nell and John were a delightful couple only too willing to assist in any way they could. Truly a lovely spot and we plan to be back at the height of the protea season.
We are repeat customers who always appreciate the absolute quietness, the fantastic cleanliness and the generous provisions left for our enjoyment. Incredible attention to detail. Views are fantastic and we were able to appreciate the warming rays of the spring sunshine whilst relaxing with nibbles & drinks on the front verandah. Variety of active birdlife was fantastic including the family of Hooded Plovers who had taken up residence in the front garden. The garden is beautiful with an array of spring flowers. Owners are very welcoming and friendly and nothing is too hard for them. Strongly recommend.
Another visit and another relaxing week to just soak it up and totally recharge. Again we experienced the high standard that we have received in the past. Nell & John made sure that we didn't go without and spoilt us with the magnificent views, food and wild life including an unexpected visit of an echidna that walked slowly past our front patio one night. We will be sure to visit again soon.
