We are full time van travellers and stopped here to stock up. It was a great location and immaculately clean. The camp kitchen was well stocked with new equipment that was clean and cleaned daily. The laundry was also amazing and clean. Although we don’t have children the facilities for children of all ages looked amazing it was fun to watch them having fun. I have heard some don’t like the bird life it was lovely the local Maggie’s seemed respectful and although there was a flock of corellas they seemed to fly through about 3 pm and were only around a short time and moved on. The location of the park was brilliant a gate onto the esplanade walk and easy walk into town and the causeway. Surf beach nearby and a simple walk to the bluff For people who don’t have vans there is a wide range of accomodation from large family glamping tests complete with ac smaller units as well as all typical camp and caravan sites Staff bent over backwards to help We highly recommend this venue

I booked online with minimal options available, once we arrived we felt what we booked was unsuitable to our needs. The friendly reception staff could not have been more helpful with ensuring my husband and I had the perfect accommodation. We ended up in the new Safari Tents which are absolutely beautiful, warm and cosy. There is even plenty of room to bring the kids and such a great outside space to relax and the enjoy the sound of the waves and the view over to Granite Island.

This was a great place to stay, friendly staff and was set in a wonderful location.
The cabin we stayed in was very modern, clean and comfortable. We had a large combined kitchen, dining and living area, two bedroom rooms and bathroom.
We we lucky enough to have water glimpses from the front verandah and living room.
There were laundry facilities in the park which was handy and a swimming pool which in winter we didn’t use.
The park was not far from local shops and a short drive to pubs and various restaurants and takeaways.
We would recommend staying at this establishment when in Victor Harbor.

Pool is NOT heated. It was freezing and we couldn't swim for almost our entire visit after paying premiums to have access to a heated pool in uncertain weather.
The grounds were lovely and the location was great so if you don't care about the pool you'll probably have a good time, but for me, I felt really let down because I'd paid specifically for a place with a heated pool as that is our idea of a perfect December holiday.
The floor was also not sufficiently cleaned so our feet got black from walking on it, and there were some other issues, but other than that the cabins were nice and well stocked. The main negative thing was the pool.

Hi Carli We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. We understand how disappointing it must have been, especially since the heated pool was an important part of your holiday plans. Your feedback is valuable, and we will review this issue to ensure clearer communication that the pool is heated to 23-25 degrees. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and the cabins, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Wishing you all the best in your future travels. Best regards, Leo Oliveira Park Manager

This is a mixed review, so please read if wanting to stay there. Its a really good park. It's easy to access, the amenities were clean and there were a bunch of facilities for the kids to use. The sites were a good size (but more on this later). In summer, the beach access gates would be extremely handy. However in April, it was extremely cold and there is nothing to act as a wind break. Some nights I did not sleep due to the strength of the winds and the concern for our awning, gazebos etc. Based on these parts, I would have stayed there again. However mid trip we had a slight issue due to another camper and because of the way it was handled, we will not consider staying their again. Whilst staying at the park, we noticed that the marked lines did not match with the fake turf sections. We followed the white lines are the actual site boundaries and gave the best proportion of parking, to van, to awning space. However somewhere in the middle of our 8 night stay (covering 4 sites and 18 people), a person came along onto the site next to us. He placed his awning out, extending the straps to the extent of the fake turf. This meant that our ute was unable to be parked in our allocated spot, well within our marked white lines. I politely knocked on his door to kindly ask if he could please move them and that my husband was happy to assist. He refused the help and moved the straps. The next day, an employee from NRMA Victor Harbor came down and looked at the white line markings. He soon returned with an angle grinder and a white spray can. I asked if there was an issue and he replied their was but we can all be friendly neighbours. I explained I was, but clearly its stirred the pot and our neighbour was unhappy. The employee proceeded to adjust the white line to the edge of the fake turf, meaning our ute could no longer easily fit between their site and our van. He mentioned that the whole section of sites along our road were going to be altered, but when we offered to move my brother in laws car so that he could continue completing them, he declined. This gave us all the impression that he was only completing the one, to please the man who complained, instead of continuing and listening to the problem it now created with parking. The man pulled his awning down that day and stayed a second night without it out, before leaving. We still had several nights remaining on what was now a smaller site with not enough space for a vehicle to park. All four of our sites were not impressed with the way it was handled, basically to "shut up" the guy who complained, instead of explaining to him that there was an error on their end and that the lines were the actual markings for the sites. This has left a bad taste in our mouths and we will not be returning to NRMA Victor Harbor.

Dear Peta and Timothy, Firstly, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. Your experience is invaluable to us, and we truly appreciate your insights. I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the episode you encountered during your stay. It's disheartening to hear that the situation with the neighboring camper was not handled to your satisfaction. Please know that our assistant manager's intentions were to find a resolution that would accommodate both parties, but it's clear that we fell short in communicating effectively with you afterwards. I'm truly sorry for any inconvenience or discomfort this may have caused during your time with us. Your kind words about our park, amenities, and facilities mean a lot to us, and I'm glad to hear that you found many aspects of your stay enjoyable. However, I completely understand your frustration with the wind conditions and the unexpected challenges you faced. We strive to create a welcoming and accommodating environment for all our guests, and it's disappointing to learn that we failed to meet your expectations in this instance. Rest assured, your feedback has been shared with our team, and we will work diligently to address the issues you've raised to ensure that similar situations are handled more effectively in the future. Despite the challenges you faced, I'd like to extend a sincere invitation for you to visit us again. We would love the opportunity to change the impression created during your last stay and demonstrate the high standard of service and hospitality that we aim to provide. Whether it's in the warmer months or throughout the year, we're here with open arms to welcome you back. Once again, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We value your input and hope to have the chance to regain your trust and welcome you back to NRMA Victor Harbor. Warm regards, Leo Park Manager, NRMA Victor Harbor Beachfront Caravan Park

We chose a studio cabin for a one night stop-over. The room was not large but was fairly modern and very clean with a small hand santizer and a couple of alcohol wipes provided in the cabin. The bed was very comfortable and the shower water pressure was good.
At the time of booking we were unaware that there was no kitchen sink. The options were either washing up in the bathroom sink or taking utensils down to the camp kitchen.
We chose to leave unwashed cups in the room in the hope that cleaning staff would put them in a dishwasher to ensure they were thoroughly cleaned which we felt was a priority when it came to Covid safety.
A bit pricey given that it was a studio cabin but it was suitable for one night. If staying longer, it might be better to have a larger cabin but, of course, that would mean a bigger cost.

We stayed in a Safari tent for one night only, having been washed out in October 2022, after the power went out three times. They wanted to charge us an extra $30 because the price had gone up to $250 a night. The BBQ didn't work, so I used the one by the fire pit, but it wasn't very hot. No internet. Couldn't get the ABC, but that was OK as the footy was on. Halfway through the third quarter, the screen froze, so we turned it off. Ten minutes later the TV came back on by itself, but the vision was about 10 seconds behind the sound!!! Have to ask Dr Karl about that. Glad we didn't pay the extra $30. Glamping schmamping.

Having stayed at a number of holiday parks, this one was ok, but not as great as other ones which was disappointing considering we paid the same as other holiday parks. We stayed in one of the new park view cabins, which were great, but they didn't have a dishwasher, coffee machine or oven, while other parks at similar price points did. The pool is "solar heated" (aka warmed by the sun to whatever the temp is that day!) and is small enough to be in someone's backyard, but the water slide, jumping pillow and scooter/BMX track were great! The wifi is capped at 1Gb per device per day which sucked after a busy day at the beach, the kids had gone to bed and the adults just wanted to watch a movie, but the movie cut out 45 minutes in! All these little things seem insignificant, but together, they added up to make the holiday considerably less enjoyable than others we've had elsewhere and we probably won't be back.

This is our second time at this caravan park and we won’t be returning.
The location is great but if you need to use anything else run.
The toilets there were dirty and unhygienic. A friend went to the male toilets one evening and there was poo smeared on the floor in on of the Cubicles. In the morning it was still there, so he went to tell the receptionist. The response was appalling, excuses on why nothing could be done about it and had to wait for the cleaner to start the shift. Even with covid, it was left.
The amenities were old and run down. One shower block you had to step in big pools of dirty old water to dry off and the first 2 days no mop was there to try and mop it up or clean the shower. The shower heads leaked everywhere and if you moved it, it felt like it was just going to fall off. The other shower block (old one) was a bit better but was hard to shower in there or with kids because water would go cold to burning hot.
Rubbish bins overflowing and didn’t notice any paper recycling bins.
Thought with covid, the cleaning would of been more frequent, toilets blocks were cleaned (apparently) twice a day but I noticed the toilet part on cleaning check list not ticked two days in a row.
Pool water was very murky and you could see anything once in the water.
Needing a lot of Renos, disappointed with having to pay a premium price for a high peak time for such a lack of effort put in to the park.
Besides the response about cleaning the Poo off the toilet floor, staff where friendly.

Recently stayed in a Studio Room at NRMA Victor Harbour, all was supplied for a comfortable stay. Although no cooking facilities, it does have a microwave, toaster and jug, bar fridge and an iron and ironing board. Own ensuite, plus coffee table and tub chairs. The main window could do with a day/night blind, to give some privacy when blind up. Seeing as I would think, that these cabins would mainly be occupied by adults, perhaps the children’s playground situated out the front of some of these Studios not the best of ideas. The camp kitchen in front of these studios was well thought out. Beach front is always a bonus as I think the size of the pool might be a little on the small size for the size of the Caravan Park especially in peak season. Also, a hand rail for the pool would be a good idea. Park is within walking distance to Hungary Jacks and other eateries. Victor Harbour and surrounds is lacking in accommodation options, many are outdated. When next in the area I would stay at this Caravan Park again

Hi Robert,
Mosquitoes are not usually a major problem in the park, however depending on any unusual weather conditions leading up to your stay, we would recommend bringing some repellent with you.
