Stayed at the Anchorage Hotel Victor Harbour Negatives: Carpets are ruined and stained! Time for an upgrade girls. Rooms are not noise proof. Can hear everyone walking around the hallways and can hear everyone downstairs.Dusty skirting boards, dust on-top of shower rails, dust on-top of door frames. We had a small queen bed to sleep in which doesn't do any justice when you are 6 foot plus. Bed was hard and uncomfortable so could do with a Mattress topper. No love in comfort which is sad. Had a look under the beds in our room both queen and single bed and found they have not been vacuum cleaned in a very long time. The room bedside tables and other furniture could of had other Old antique nice tasteful furniture if that's what you are still going with. The bedside lamps don't even match the room what so ever so I think the hotel owners must be confused on there concept??? Posisitives: Great location. This hotel has so much potential for the accommodation side. For the price I would of booked a holiday house for the night instead. This corner room is worth $60 for the night not over $100. Overal Hotel experience grade from us is 6 out of 10 to be fair. Total let down for a Heritage Hotel. I wish owners of hotels would listed to the customers constructive feedback to improve there product however this heritage hotel looks to have gone in the opposite direction. I wish the owners all the best in there business adventure and hopefully they fix up there rooms. Wish I could say I wish we could stay another night however it's just not worth it.

Booked an upstairs spa room with balcony. Very tired room. Worn out carpet, worn furniture, mattress had spring protruding, freezing cold air coming through around doorway, old curtains letting in light at crack of dawn, hot water took ages to come through to taps, no chair to sit on in room. Walls were paper thin and could hear next room. Expected much better for price we paid!

We stayed one night in the Queen suite with our granddaughter who used the sofa bed. Room was clean and organised, with nice quality linen. It was really cold but the electric heater did a good job of keeping the room warm. Check in wasn't as smooth as it could have been, but all the staff were friendly. Free parking in the hotel car park was appreciated, and our granddaughter loved the views from the balcony. We expected some noise from the restaurant as it was a Friday night but we heard nothing.

Good evening meal of flathead chips and salad tasted fresh and beautifully cooked. Pleasant environment, whilst busy the staff were calm and engaging. The weather was cold outside but inside was a pleasant temperature to take a coat off but not so hot as to have to take all the layers required for outside off. Have been before for lunch which we enjoyed so came again for dinner this time and enjoyed it too.

Beautiful view from the balcony. Rooms a bit shabby and need updating. Tooth floss from previous room occupants still hanging in the shower. The shower took at least five minutes to start warming up. Not really worth the cost, especially when you are in a 2pm and have to be out by 10-30am next morning.
