Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We did not expect 'nice' room but hotel double bed room was very limited space especially in the bathroom. It was like feeling on the ship. Old facility and old air conditioning. Car park was a little bit distant from the hotel. Other types of room may be different but would not recommend hotel room.

We stayed in the luxury balcony room, it was exquisite, it was lovely sitting on the balcony in the evening watching the world go buy, feeling at peace watching the sea. Meals at the bistro were your typical pub meal but oh so good. If you want to get take out and bring it up to your room the Indian take out from the shell servo, was just not to bad.

If you plan to stay at Streaky bay plan ahead and ask for room 1. You won’t be disappointed. We paid 240 for the night, compared with a workers cabin @ 130 and a motel room at 150 on the Eyre loop. This is the best room I have ever ever stayed in. The food and staff were wonderful but the veranda and the view the hero’s. Beautiful wine glass’s and china tea cups and mugs made us feel like royalty….. so don’t rent a cheap cabin or motel room when you could be upstairs. There were also other less expensive rooms but didn’t have the full corner view we did

After reading recent reviews we were a bit hesitant to dine here.
But we did.
My steak was cooked exactly as requested and was a large cut that I couldn't eat it all, salad was adequate as also added chips with my meal.
My wife had 2 fillets of fish, these were a good size, grilled. Sides were vegetables and potato bake.
The hotel had a house red, choice of 3 brands from the Barossa.
Staff were very busy, happy and very helpful.
Great meal, atmosphere and on last night experience would highly recommend.
PS. Garlic Bread yummy

After finding a table the queue to order was very long and slow to move and the wait time for the meal to be delivered much much longer. The steak was cooked as ordered which was great but the crumbed calamari ordered as an entry was not even delivered. After asking why a refund was offered but to late to cook. Great location but more attention needs to be paid to getting the ordered food delivered to the table in a reasonable time and making sure that all orders are fully fulfilled.

Loved our stay in their luxurious upstairs balcony king room. The million dollar view is worth it and the price which includes continental breakfast was really reasonable. We also ate dinner at the hotel which although not fancy was typical pub fare.

Staff greeted us on check-in and we're very friendly and helpful.
The room was fairly simple but clean and functional.
Dinner at the bistro was lovely, well presented and with generous portions. Gluten free options were available.
The cost of the room included a continental breakfast which definitely makes for good value for money.
Highly recommended as an overnight stay.

We stayed in their balcony executive room for 2 nights. The room was beautifully renovated and furnished with brass bed, leather lounges and double rainwater shower. Lovely views from our balcony. However, our stay was marred by an unpleasant smell emanating from the drains.

Management must have know this was an ongoing problem but they acted surprised when we told them and said that of course they would see to it. Their response was to spray something down the drains which didn’t really do much. It’s such a shame because the room had been done up beautifully and the location was excellent.

Breakfast was help yourself continental breakfast. Popular location for dinner.

Booked for a meal Tonight (Saturday) for 7.30pm. Arrived earlier and ordered meal. Waited until 8.45pm to get a meal and the wrong meal was delivered for one person and a well done steak was presented when it was supposed to be rare.

Our stay at the end of October into November was very good. The staff are very helpful, the room very clean and the beds comfortable. Although alternative options are available the continental breakfast is more than we needed with yoghurt and fruit, cereals, toast with a variety of spreads as well as fruit juices and coffee.
