Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived early November and left early February 2023, Angela was very helpful and also Lisa. The park is quite small, the amenities are spotless after a few days we moved from park proper and moved onto the ‘overflow’ area opposite the football ground, it was quieter and we met many people who have used the area previously and they have become friends.
We would recommend staying it’s walking distance to shops and supermarkets and hotels, The Victoria Hotel has a lovely outdoor area opposite to beautiful gardens.

Nice little caravan park located near the football oval, playground & tennis courts.A few minutes walk to the town centre. Clean amenities/kitchen BBQ area. Great helpful host always happy to help and great local food recommendations.

I stayed 7 nights on a powered site. I will be returning :)

Stayed four nights. Very friendly operators. Very good location. Nice grassy sites.
Very good location.
Had a bit if a problem with the barbecues but management were on to it.
The one percenters that needed a bit if attention - eg the hose at the dump point was split which allowed water to go everywhere except where it was wanted. Badly leaking site tap.
Good clean amenities.
Overall - value for money and would certainly recommend it.

This is a well located park with flat sites. We had booked an ensuite site for the Antiques Fair weekend (booked in April). After reconfirming the booking on a couple of occasions. When we got there.......no ensuite, no booking on file. I was advised that ensuites are not guaranteed - the website does not mention this. We left and returned home. 3.5 hours there. 3.5 hours home. I booked an ensuite site for my wife, due to some medical issues but apparently the booking system, is doesn't work. Have stayed here before, thats why we were going to stay again. We will never return. If you book an ensuite site............you may not get it.

Over the holiday weekend, all we were able to book was an unpowered site. We picked the site that was the best fit for our tent & car, aware the dump point was close by but thought we’d be far enough away. Oh dear. Overnight was ok but between around 10am and 7 pm the smell was so ripe we just had to go elsewhere even if we hadn’t planned to. Powered sites on the other side of the road experienced the same problem we were told. A shame really because the powered sites further away looked good and the amenities block was always kept spotlessly clean and the staff were great. Although the camp kitchen could do with an upgrade, at least there is one with basic amenities including a fridge, microwave kettle and toaster. The campground is well positioned only a short, flat walk into town, restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops and sights. If the dump point had been screened a little better or out of the hot sun, our stay here would have been perfect.

We were treated with no (Respect) by the Manager who's name is: Angela Wittwer. She upset my wife & had no compassion towards us even though we are doing it tough.
When we arrived we were placed on a larger site with room to move around. We had already half set up when Angela came over to speak to us & was very nasty, rude, disrespectful & very discrimitory toward us wanting us to reposition our dog fencing to only use the space of our awening only so she could mow her lawn. when we we're losing daylight & trying to set up our caravan in the cold windy weather in the winter month of July.
There were a number of other comments made that was very demeaning & degrading making us feel like unwanted scumm. We are very clean, neat & tidy people who treat everybody with respect.
No one should have to put up with this & so we do not recommend Strathalbyn caravan park under this Manager. We left the following day & will never return whilst under her management. We have been living in our caravan bouncing from caravan park to caravan park for 2 1/2 years now & have NEVER been treated anything like this. Every park has been very happy with us & VERY welcoming & supportive.

We are sorry we can not please everyone. unfortunately i had been away for 6 weeks and the fill in staff had put you guys on the wrong spot as the last time you stayed with us your site was very untidy and we did not want to have you where every one could see this, as it was coming up to the antique fair weekend where every one comes in. so I am sorry for the miss understanding.

Awesome little park with super friendly hosts. Very welcoming and happy to have children there, which others were not. A short walk to town with friendly locals and all you need. Great antiques and buildings. Lots of space, good facilities, clean and well priced. Definitely recommend.

Stayed in a powered caravan site for 6 nights in April 2024. Nice little park, located a short walk from town. Park is on the edge of the football/sports oval. Great place to base ourselves as Strathalbyn in a lovely little town with plenty to check out. However, don't expect to be able to get in or out of the park on a weekend ! The sports oval packs out all day and the cars are parked across access areas to the caravan park (we weren't advised of this when we booked). Quite a few permanents in the park.
