A new favourite for me. I stayed 2 nights in Room 9. Large room, excellent condition, better equipped than 'standard' motels. No pub noise, though the usual early bin collection and deliveries you expect in the centre of a small town. The lunch was high quality (like most Aussie pubs) and the service was good. Overall, the staff were consistently helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble (and I changed my plans n times) and the staff were consistently helpful - really good culture for which management should be praised. Downsides? The room is upstairs and there is very limited on site parking, though unlimited free parking outside in this quiet town.

Our stay at the Victoria Hotel Strathalbyn was great. The Hotel is in the heart of the town overlooking Parkland. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable with quality bed linen. The Continental breakfast provided in the room included tea, coffee, cereals, bread for toast, butter and assorted spreads. The bonus was fresh milk instead of "long life" milk plus orange juice. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

On a cold and wet day in Sth Aust, our stay at the Vic Hotel provided welcome respite. Tea from the Bistro was eaten in front of a cosy fire and made my Birthday weekend a treasured memory that I am sure will stay with me for some time. Thanks for a comfy stay.

Highly recommended! We visited local wineries & not wanting to drive home
we booked accommodation at the Victoria Hotel. Glad we did! Rooms were spacious & very comfortable! The continental breakfasts were an added bonus. Team it with a visit to the Bistro downstairs!

I booked directly thinking it was the right thing to do for small business and found it difficult for them to match the online price. Check-in was slow and check-out difficult as there was no one to pass the key too at 8.30 am. Rooms however were spacious and clean, meals great and hotel is opposite the most beautiful parklands.

As always a fantastic stay at the Victoria Hotel. A lovely welcome by the young man at the desk, was very polite and welcoming and also very helpful to put our meal order through the booking in till so that our meal would be ready sooner. The lovely young girl had our table reserved when we went into dining and as usual our meals were awesome. We booked through the hotel so we can take advantage of their escape package. We then ventured into poker lounge and noticed they now have nite acceptors on most machines. The free coffee served with a small slice of cake was delicious. Room was kept clean and the same young man that booked us in came around to offer drinks regularly. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with delicious Percy latex coffee grounds and delicious Nippys orange juice. The continental breakfast is ample. Always such a great place to stay. Keep up the great service.

We thoroughly enjoyed our night's stay at the Victoria Hotel/Motel. Our room was large, spacious and more than adequate for our requirements. The spa was relaxing and welcome. The continental breakfast was more than we needed, especially after dining in the hotel the night before. The staff in both the hotel and motel part were friendly, helpful and very happy to help us

As a group of 4 we ventured to the Vic Hotel for an evening meal. The quality and presentation of the meals was only surpassed by the attentive and friendly staff. The new menu is fabulous and will satisfy the most discerning diner. This is by far the best hotel outside of Adelaide. Well done Team.
Regards John

The standard of the room and all facilities were top class. For a one night stay as part of a motoring trip all worked very well for my wife and me. Other members of our family were in a nearby room which was equally good. Parking arrangements for our two cars was also very convenient.

Rolled into Strathalbyn after a difficult day of driving and was greeted with friendly staff behind the bar and at the accommodation desk.
The room itself was comfortable, very clean and the provided breakfast items were more than enough for the 2 of us. The bed especially was very comfortable.
The only drawback from the room was that it was right outside an entry way to the hotel so became a little noisy with people coming and going and talking loudly and smoking outside the room.
I can imagine it would be annoying in the warmer months if you wanted your door open for some fresh air and had cigarette smoke blowing in on you.
This didn't detract from our stay.
Food in the hotel was absolutely delicious. Good selection of beers on tap and attentive staff despite a very busy evening.
The interior of the hotel itself was nice just for a drink before dinner.
Overall, a comfortable and relaxing stay and would recommend this hotel.
