Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Andy's accommodation is a quirky old house just a couple of blocks from the main street. Self check in is provided, it's better inside than out, but felt a bit spooky.

The beds are extremely comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. The modern bathroom was much appreciated, as was the split system air-conditioning and convection heaters in the bedrooms as Peterborough was very cold during our stay. The house has a kitchen and spacious dining room. I particularly enjoyed looking through the photo album with pictures of the house during the renovations.

Andy's is comfortable accommodation, well suited to group travel.

Recently stayed a two night winter weekend at Andy's. Loved getting back to the way things used to be but with all the modern comforts - especially the beds! Very good value and perfect base to explore Peterborough's fab old steam trains from as well as gorgeous countryside. Great for just two or the family.

Loved Andy's Place. My hubby and I were lucky enough to be invited away for an overnight stay. The beds are so comfortable we've never slept so well. The cottage is just so beautiful on the inside. What i would say is don't let the outside put you off, this is obviously work in progress.

It's a great little cottage and i would certainly stay there again. Thank you for looking after us.

Thanks for your comments Lynn. Glad you enjoyed your stay and yes I would have to agree, the shower is a fantastic way to relax - it's called the 'monsoon' and is as the name suggests. Look forward to have you visit us again. Regards Michael

When you first see the cottage it looks a little old house without much going for it, but inside it is quite another story. The lounge is comfortable with a lounge and chair, good fittings and artwork, a large central dining room with wooden table and a separate kitchen out the back with modern fittings and equipment. The bathroom is completely new and of very high quality.

A huge bed was in the well fitted main bedroom. The window did have a roll down security cover but we took a while to work out how it could be opened, so the room was dark until the discovery made. The lounge and dining didn’t have access to much natural light.

Thanks for your comments Peter, the inside of the house is definitely not what people expect and the bathroom is just great. Glad that we have been able to deliver quality in and old setting. We have plans to introduce more natural lighting to the lounge by removing the front sleep out and we are always happy to receive feedback. Thank you and we look forward to have you stay with us when you pass through. Regards Michael

We stayed at Andy's due to the pouring rain and they were good enough to let us come in with the dog. (thanks ) Its been renovated in ultra modern comfortable style and has quality fittings and furniture . From the outside it looks an old house but the work done is a credit to them. You can easily walk to the main street down the subway. The only thing I found a bit disappointing was for the price I would have liked a basic breakfast toast/ cereal included but then again its not a B&B Well done - a country treasure

Relaxing, so much space, room to move. Wonderful value, heaps better than a motel. And a washing machine....all kitchen untensils one could possibly want. Generous towels, best shower, comfy bed. Wanted to stay longer

This ordinary cottage on the outside hides a gem inside. Lovely and sympathetically renovated, they have created a very comfortable place to stay.
All the important things have been ticked - comfortable bed, great shower, well equipped kitchen, heating/cooling and relaxing lounge.
We had a short but enjoyable stay here

My wife and I accompanied my elderly father -in-law to find his ancestral home in Dawson, we decided to take our little dog so we needed pet friendly accommodation.
We looked at all the accommodation in Peterborough and found Andy's, we found that not only was this a perfect place for us and the dog but it was far better than staying in a Hotel, so thanks to our dog we found a better accommodation option when we travel (with or without Leo). Andy's is in a great location, close to the town centre yet far enough away to be nice and peaceful, its very well equipped and has great beds which is important for any traveller. All in all we had a great stay in Peterborough, the people are extremely friendly and just cant do enough to help, especially the people at the town historical centre, so apart from the goose who thinks is ok to bull doze all the beautiful turn of the century stone buildings, including my farther in laws house at Dawson we had a great stay.
