We entered the park and saw a Sign outside the office that said pick a site and we will catch up with you later
we searched and found a nice semi shaded drive thru we set up and sat in our chairs and enjoyed our bushland Views in peace.

The sites were well maintained and the whole park was well kept and it showed

The amenities were very clean and tidy, nice size showers, the camp kitchen was also well kept nice table setting, and everything basic that you needed,
plus a separate area with a semi enclosed BBQ.

Later that arvo the owner came and collected his fees, he was friendly, polite, and i commented on how well maintained his park was he was specially the amenities block, he smiled at me like doesn't every park keep their parks maintained...

On leaving the next day i commented on the friendly attitude of my two Taxi Drivers who took me to and from SteamTown, Including that special Lady who handled the Steam and Light show Just for Me he smiled and was gracious in his reply,

There are also cabins in the park and going by the cleanness of the amenities
i would venture to say the same goes for the Cabins.

There are nice painting relating to the heritage of Peterborough on walls by the toilets, the laundry was very clean.

we will be returning to this very friendly town sometime again.

I've now stayed at this park twice, each time staying in a tent.
The service on arrival is always very friendly and helpful, and the rates are very reasonable, among the best.
Tent facilities are grassed and a 240v socket is available on request to provide power for charging phones etc, in handy reach to the tent area.
There's no problem parking your motorcycle right next to the tent.
The amenities block is a short walk and they are clean and tidy. The piped music is a nice touch.
The laundry is very well equipped and a change machine is available.
The park is a short 10min walk from the main street and it's location means it's very quiet. The only real noise comes from occasional passing trains but somehow this has a peaceful effect.
There's a lovely park next door which can be accessed via a rear gate.
I highly recommend this park, it's a very pleasant stay.

My husband and I took the grandkids away for three nights in the school holidays staying at the Peterborough Caravan park in a cabin. Initially we booked a pet friendly but did not end up taking our dog and as I expected, the cabin was VERY basic. The airconditoner was so old and made a shocking noise when you turned it on, it took a while to heat but once at the temp it did work ok, but still so very noisy. They should really look at replacing these dinosaurs. The convection oven smoked when I turned it on to heat some pasta and the smoke alarms kept going off, not sure when they were last looked at. The vent above the oven was broken so no way to turn on the exhaust fan to stop the alarms going off. The bathroom was very basic, it was clean but very, very basic. We were aware there was no linen on the bunks, but I don't regard linen to include towels so it was lucky I had packed a couple and the kids used these. Stingy supplies also in the kitchen with a chux cut in half and about 1/3 of a green scourer, no extra garbage bag and just one tiny bin on the kitchen cupboard! The mattress was absolutely the worst I have slept on, my back and neck are testament to that and if it wasn't for the electric blanket then the pathetic thin bed spread and a quilt it would have been very unpleasant. Water damage evident on the walls and ceiling as well. Such a shame when these parks get so run down, just a bit of TLC would go along way but the powered sites were full so I guess this is what they rely on, I did have a look at the amenities block and although old, they were very clean. Jacqui in reception was helpful and quite pleasant to talk to, I can't say the same for the man there (not sure if husband or not). All in all, not a great stay, they did have nicer cabins but they were booked up so couldn't look in those, but you shouldn't expect to put people even in basic cabins that are very rundown. I would not stay again

Found this to be a lovely little park. The owners were great, friendly all the time and nothing was ever a problem. Great dog friendly park with great amenities, always clean and well maintained. Local location was great for exploring the area from Princetown to Portland and to Camperdown and surrounding area. Great place to stay and made many new friends while we were there. Will accommodate most size vans no problem, great views at every angle and beach was fantastic and the fishing was great too I believe.

Booked cabin without viewing. Big mistake. Heater/Ac vibrated whole wall of building creating unbearable loud vibration. Owner equipped with boom unable to fix! Cabin clean but very dated. View to outside world through heater/ac not appreciated. Owner was kind enough to provide a full refund without charging the $5 administration fee.

We stayed in The Peterborough caravan park on 5th October & the 5th November.
The lady at check-in was very friendly & helpful. The park looked clean & tidy. We stayed in the same cabin both times - It was very new & clean. Big fridge, good bed. Good bathroom. The Living/dinning area was a comfortable & the kitchen was very user friendly. It is very quiet at night, so we had a good sleep. Would stay they again.
my score for that park is 10/10

We spent a couple of nights here in our camper trailer. The caravan park is located away from the Main Street through town adjacent to the town park. It is a pleasant walk through the park and down to the Main Street, using the underpass to cross the railway tracks.

The caravan park is neat and tidy: mainly gravelled sites throughout with a bit of grass for a couple of camping sites. We were able to setup our camper trailer on the grass which was a pleasant and quiet spot.

Management were particularly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The amenities are excellent and there is good mobile coverage.

A pleasant spot to visit the local area.

Lovely caravan park with friendly and welcoming owners. Highly recommend doing the Timboon Gourmet Food trail from here. We encountered one day of horrendous weather, with accompanying power outage. We set ourselves up in the camp kitchen and although Dean provided wood for the fire, we didn’t use it (the thought was very much appreciated). It didn’t take the shine off our stay because we were so well looked after. Very clean and well looked after- we’ll be back!

Only here for an overnight stop so sites being drive through made it easy to park the van, set up for the night without unhitching and then next day just unhook the power, water and sullage, reconnect electrics to car and then head off. Amenities were good, clean and well maintained and a camp kitchen is also available. Quite a nice little park which we will use again when back that way.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Lots of drive through sites and those at the rear of the property have great views over the valley. Good, very clean amenities. I found the managers friendly and helpful. Next to Victoria Park and within walking distance of Main Street. Peterborough is a very interesting and proud town and well worth a visit.

Hi Maria. We stayed at the Peterborough caravan park last month(June) and for 2 adults on a powered site we paid $87.50. The 3rd night was half price. So the normal cost is $35 a night.
