Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I know this Hotel from when my parents owned it a long time ago and it was particularly good to meet Peter and have a look at the place again. Love the motorbike on the verandah and the vintage motorbike theme! Excellent very clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation! The history of this hotel is very interesting and it's great to see it being maintained and adapting for clientele. Thanks again Peter. Would definitely recommend.

Rooms marketed at $40 paid $100 but really only worth $40 ! I honestly don't think the sheets where even changed and am sure they weren't when i left, as the bed was made even before I left the room ! Friendly staff but no food available...

Peterborough Hotel is perfect for motorcycle trips away. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortabl with lots of character. A common room with TV and coffee is available. Secure undercover bike parking is available out back. Great base for adventure bike riding with local knowledge from the publicans who ride as well. No meals at the moment but bbq and other food options in town available.

Called into this lovely hotel as the weather was too hot for camping. We were able to secure an air conditioned ground floor room, which although older, was very clean and tidy. The hotel staff are lovely, especially Chloe. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. Being Friday night, a sumptuous bar snacks plate was placed in front of us on the bar. A nice touch. The Barramundi Burger and Chips for $8, was obviously cheap, but tasty and filling. The service was extremely quick. We will happily stay here again, and have cold drinks, awesome food and great comversation with the locals. This pub has such a great feel.

On my second visit in 6 months I didn't hesitate to pull up to the Peterborough and show the wife around. Again the rooms are basic but for $60 a double with recently renovated bathrooms it is getting there ! Spent another relaxing & entertaining afternoon/early evening with owner Neal & friends, great company & very friendly. Another great meal as well, you would be hard pressed to do better for the price ! I reckon my my next visit in 2019 , she might be up to Excellent ?

Neil and his crew were the best hosts, giving a smile and personal service for the room and meal. Good value room, good sized meals. Very conveniently located on the main road, quaint historical building.

Had drinks and dinner at at the new Harts take away part of the hotel, food fantastic service staff in uniforms and looked very smart, friendly service. The dinning area had all new furnishings, the bar part of the hotel needs a bit of a face lift but over all good night.

Our first choice was expensive for shared facilities so we gave the Peterborough Hotel a go and were not disappointed. Good & comfortable rooms, quiet and a good nights rest was had.Old pub that they are slowly renovating as funds become available. Huge with high ceilings, big dining rooms with meals served, open fires, pool comps and a super friendly staff. We spent a very convivial evening with the owner, Neal, and talked cars, business & BS !! The Pub has everything you need, a guest lounge, coffee & tea & milk all supplied and I can highly recommend it plus all at a great price !

Very old hotel with lots of character and lots of history. The place mats on the table tell you lots of stories from the time when the town was a booming railway station. The service was very good & the food was very tasty, the Tbone steak was massive,it didn't fit on the plate and the separate salad bar was ample with a great selection of mixed salads.A lovely warm heater was great on a very cold night.Accomodation was available but did not use.

attended for dinner one night. The hotel was the first hotel in Petersburg & retains much of its original structure with dining rooms. They serve lunch & dinner 7 days a week. They serve basic pub meals consisting of 3 entries, 5 different choices of seafood & 8 others including steaks, schnitzels, fettucine, rissoles & lambs fry. Prices ranged from $10 up to $25. My meal was served quickly, it was value for money. This is not for fine dining.
