Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Peterborough Hotel is perfect for motorcycle trips away. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortabl with lots of character. A common room with TV and coffee is available. Secure undercover bike parking is available out back. Great base for adventure bike riding with local knowledge from the publicans who ride as well. No meals at the moment but bbq and other food options in town available.

I know this Hotel from when my parents owned it a long time ago and it was particularly good to meet Peter and have a look at the place again. Love the motorbike on the verandah and the vintage motorbike theme! Excellent very clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation! The history of this hotel is very interesting and it's great to see it being maintained and adapting for clientele. Thanks again Peter. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped in Peterborough for 2 days and stayed at the Hotelpeterborough on advice of locals. Great idea. Its an old hotel styled accomodation which has been redecorated and refurbished with new fittings upstairs. We stayed in a double room with shared showers, but this added to the atmosphere. The meals downstairs in the cafe were as good as any for a pub. Fantastic. The hotel and rooms were very clean, great value for money and worthwhile staying the extra day that we did. Great for workers and travellers alike. The staff were more than helpful and very knowledgeable. Thankyou.

My first impression was that the place was a dive but I soon realised I was wrong. Price is cheap, Room is basic but large, staff are friendly and the food in the restaurant down stairs was beautiful. There are a lot of old trains around to look at too.

This clean premises has menu and wine list featuring historic photos of the area and is warmly decked out with local curiosities and conversation points. The meals are standard pub fare done well. Lots of choice and the service was warm and efficient. The coffee was real and properly made. We shall return.

Our first choice was expensive for shared facilities so we gave the Peterborough Hotel a go and were not disappointed. Good & comfortable rooms, quiet and a good nights rest was had.Old pub that they are slowly renovating as funds become available. Huge with high ceilings, big dining rooms with meals served, open fires, pool comps and a super friendly staff. We spent a very convivial evening with the owner, Neal, and talked cars, business & BS !! The Pub has everything you need, a guest lounge, coffee & tea & milk all supplied and I can highly recommend it plus all at a great price !

We spent one night here while touring Flinders Ranges. Rustic room, basic, comfortable. On the night we stayed there, December 16, there was a Christmas parade and a flea market, followed by an excellent fireworks show. That alone made the night here worth it.
I must say that there were a ton of revelers and the whole town was noisy with parties and celebration. Three packed bars. I turned on the air conditioner to help drown out the din. It worked for us. This should normally be a peaceful town.
Dinner at the restaurant was very good. Plenty of food for the money.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return some day.

We enjoyed Hotel Peterborough :
- we had a big room, simply furbished but very clean and very quiet (we had room number 14) ;
- the hotel is a bit old-fashioned but has the charm of old historic and iconic places !
- the price 60 AU$ for a couple was gentle.
A very good hotel to spend one or more nights in this pretty town.

attended for dinner one night. The hotel was the first hotel in Petersburg & retains much of its original structure with dining rooms. They serve lunch & dinner 7 days a week. They serve basic pub meals consisting of 3 entries, 5 different choices of seafood & 8 others including steaks, schnitzels, fettucine, rissoles & lambs fry. Prices ranged from $10 up to $25. My meal was served quickly, it was value for money. This is not for fine dining.
