Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had 2 nights in one of the amazing little Train carriages. They are comfortable with lots of little extra touches to make a nice stay. Would highly recommend if you are in Peterborough to experience this comfy accommodation. It's an experience.

We have spent 2 night in a delightful railway carriage. It is quiet homely and comfortable very well appointed with lots of little extras . It’s worth staying more than one night you can use it as a base and drive out from here. Train enthusiasts would be over the moon staying here especially as Peterborough is an old steam town. You must visit Peterborough Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre it is a must. The Railway Hotel bistro has good meals.

When travelling South from Hawker to Melbourne we were fortunate enough to find the lovely Antoinette and Phil Sleep that own this incredible little piece of what makes our country so great. It reinforces the reason we travel and hit the road with no fixed plan or place to stop. Awesome accomodation that is so much fun for the kids on a beautiful acreage just outside of Peterborough away from the population , motels or caravan parks. You can have a camp fire but the biggest thing of all that will BLOW YOUR MIND....is their incredible Australiana Collection sitting in the huge shed. Full of century old bits of gear , old bottles and well check out the photos but this is something to show your kids and watching my 9 year old get his head around a 75 year old type writer was rather hilarious because of course he's comparing it to an iPad. Wonderful friendly people and top notch service - do not hesitate - stay here and allow at least 2 hours to wander through their amazing museum - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This was just the escape we needed. Located only 2-3 hours north of Adelaide, it was the perfect place to just get away from it all for a few days and explore the area around Peterborough. We had a great campsite to ourselves and our young child had all the room in the world to ride his bike and just engage in general nature play activities. We loved the opportunity to explore the property via various 4WD tracks which cater for all levels of experience. A stunning property, thank you for sharing. And the service and hospitality was second to none.

Stayed at Willangi Bush Escapes overnight at their bath site. Great little spot, well looked after with fun 4X4 tracks! Recommend them greatly! ☺️ The little ripper track is fun, make sure you have past 4X4 experience... few spots are tricky!

We stayed here for 2 nights at the outdoor bath site and absolutely loved it! The facilities were clean, the long drop was well maintained and had all sorts of odour-prevention in use to keep it fresh. The donkey boiler was a great novelty for us, we were given plenty of wood to keep it going for 2 baths a night. Lots of firewood was also provided. For $17.50 pp/night we couldn't fault it. Every camping area had its own paddock so you were free to walk around and appreciate the lovely scenery and wildlife. Hoping we can find more places like this on our travels!

Hubby and I camped at the bush bath site for 5 days and we loved it so much we will be back. Our site was secluded from the others via gates to ensure no one else will enter while you are there. It was so relaxing sitting back with a book or puzzles and games, the only sounds are the birds. In the evening you draw a nice warm bath and sit back with a glass of red and enjoy the sunset. On cloudless nights there were millions of stars, and again no noises except the occasional bird. The owners, Neil and Antoinette Sleep, were very friendly and welcoming. The bath site had various body washes, moisturisers, bubble bath and shampoos along with towels and bath robes. On our second day Neil came out to check we were all set up and ok and bought wood for the donkey to heat the water for the bath. The long drop toilet had been cleaned, sprayed for bugs and had sprigs of lavender to keep the flies at bay. Everything was nicely presented and care had been taken to ensure the bath and long drop were clean. If you want to truly escape and get off the grid, relax in a nice bush setting and enjoy nature then I highly recommend this place.

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Steamtown and other attractions and nearby towns in Peterborough. Fascinating and spotlessly clean and charmingly decorated. Felt it was too good for me as I am not used to staying in luxury accommodation. Staying in these railway cottages gave that added vibe to a town with lots of railway history. The owners, Neil and Antoinette Steel are a very lovely couple and went out f their way to make my visit memorable.
