Detailed Reviews
My partner and I stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet, relaxed, and clean nature of this caravan park. We are usually camping in national forest, but this caravan park did not disappoint.
The sites are well spaced with trees around the periphery, so no ‘packed in like sardines’ feel here! The facilities are excellent- BBQ, kitchen/laundry area and bathrooms had all that we needed and were impeccably clean.
The managing and cleaning staff were super friendly and very welcoming.
We happily set up the rooftop tent and easily walked to the shops which have a huge range and a very good independent liquor store stocking many local wines and beers. Although we didn’t attend, the public pool is literally next door.
Would recommend this caravan park to anyone looking for a quiet getaway under the trees listening to birdsong (and watching rabbits).

It's a nice and quiet spot yet near restaurants and even a shopping mall. A short drive to Hahndorf and enjoy the scenaries along Mount Barker Rd.
When we came in end May from other mostly empty caravan parks, this one was pretty much at its full capacity. Quite a few park users seemed to have stayed for a while.
The nice park owners gave us a lot of useful information. Shower rooms and toilets were clean. Hot shower was great. Just wished the power of the extraction fan can be lowered. The camp kitchen was just a kitchen sink with hot and cold water, microwave and bar table in a laundry room. Next to it was one of the two BBQ areas which didn't have washing facilities. Unfortunately it rained most of the time when we were there and getting in and out of the camp kitchen and the BBQ area would get you wet.
Despite the rain, we did enjoy our stay there.

The Mt Barker Caravan & Tourist Park is one of our favourite parks in Australia to stay at. You are warmly welcomed to the park by Wayne and Kylie who do a great job as host and hostess. Extremely friendly and helpful. The park itself is beautifully laid out and extremely well maintained with nice gardens and tables around barbeque areas for socialising. Amenities blocks are immaculate. I highly recommend this park as a beautiful place to stay and relax and enjoy the lovely town of Mt Barker.

The park is absolutely spotless. Lorraine (cleaner) takes great pride in making sure all facilities are sparkling. There is no camp kitchen but you will find a kettle, toaster and a very small microwave in the laundry as well as a sink to wash dishes etc. From memory, wifi was also non-existent. Park is within walking distance to shops, cafe, supermarkets as well as not far from towns such as Hahndorf

Our second visit and again it was just perfect !
A lovely welcome at reception on arrival and Wayne & Kylie go out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable.
Amenities and grounds are spotless even during the beautiful confetti of autumn leaves during our stay ( it was simply gorgeous).
I would highly recommend this lovely quiet park tucked away within walking distance to the town centre to anyone searching for a clean, friendly, quiet park in the heart of the Adelaide Hills ♡♡...Oh and it's pet friendly with an oval next door which is perfect for walking the dog.

I really appreciated the warm and friendly welcome from the manager, as I was travelling alone and had arrived after dark.
The park was so peaceful with grassed areas and white gravel paths lined with shrubs and big old trees that added a real country feel.
The cabin was lovely and clean, with simple comfy amenities, and parking right next to it, which was perfect for loading and unloading bags.

The tourist park was extremely neet and tidy, like our cabin it had everything we needed and more. It was very close to the centre of town, we drove but you could walk the distance for sure.
The owner manager's Wayne and Kylie were very friendly and helpfull, nothing was too much trouble.
Definitely recommend the Mt Barker Caravan and Tourist Park

A group of friends have been staying at Mount Barker Caravan and Tourist Park every year for the last four years and they never disappoint. Friendly staff are happy to accomodate special requests such as preferred site ( to assist with my health issues). The park is very close to the main street which offers everything from supermarkets to cafes, specialty shops and retail. And if you are planning an extended stay it is close enough to Adelaide city and hills districts to take in more of what’s on offer. Looking forward to our stay again next year.

Met by Managers who introduced themselves, very friendly. Park facilities very clean and tidy. Only 20 mins down the freeway to the city and then back again to a quiet park - much appreciated. Also very close to all the other town in the Adelaide Hills from which to make a base. Recommend and will return.
