From Adelaide , First time to Serafino! Cellar door experience 10/10. We were served by Bozena who has worked at Serafino for 21 years and is she an asset! Wines excellent quality and extensive range. Five wines over 95 points from James Halliday! Lush green grass, the lake and the gesse!

The stay at the hotel was lovely but the pre-authorisation of $100 frozen on my account was a nightmare! I made 5 phone calls -got misinformation and extremely rude service from Jedda and others. First I was told the money would be returned 24hours later after checkout -pretty standard -no problem. I ring to check 50hours later and am told it is not Serafinos end but my bank. Ahhh that old chestnut not me it’s someone else ! I ring my bank and am advised Serafinos have not released the funds . So I ring again this time I’m told another piece of misinformation from a different staff member-we drank a cider from the mini bar worth $9 as the reason they hadn’t released the $100. Mmm customer service ? Gotta live inaccurate accusations when you are complaining about poor service. Don’t expect to find any service here the manager Tess/Tilly talked over me and said I need to ring the bank again otherwise “ I’m just some random”. If this is the way customers are treated Steve Maglieri needs to review staff training and basic courtesy levels. I’m all for supporting local economies but not when service is sub standard. Very disappointing.

Good place to stay, great location on the willunga trail, can walk to restaurants. Grounds are lovely and there's a nice pool. Rooms are large but a bit old fashioned. Bathroom design terrible, shower over the bath and the door opened onto the toilet so if there's anyone on the toilet they get hit. The king bed is 2 singles pushed together so bump in middle. Also restaurant is not open exceot Saturday night and Sunday lunch.

Firstly, on a positive note the grounds surrounding the rooms, restaurant and cellar door are lovely. The main building is also lovely, and in particular the cellar door was modern yet had a lovely character feel. The service was very good too, and the wines we tried were very tasty. However, when it came to the accommodation, we felt let down. There seems to be a distinct difference between the rest of Serafino compared to the rooms. It was a special occasion, I was surprising my husband for his birthday so I wanted it to be really special. But to be honest, I would not stay there again nor recommend anyone else to. The instant reaction when we saw the room was disappointment as it was dated. The toilet looked like it had been used before us, it didn't feel like the room had been cleaned to a high standard, such as kitchen utensils & crockery so we boiled the kettle to rinse what we used beforehand. But the part that was the most disappointing was the noise from the rooms beside us, we could hear everything, and I mean everything. It woke us up very early so we didn't have a very relaxing rest at all. Sadly it took away from our experience in general and we were looking forward to going back home to our cosy and peaceful house.

Room Tip: Perhaps a room closer to the main building may have less noise?

Everything about Serafino is gorgeous. The villa we stayed in was lovely, loved the high ceilings, the spacious room, and the sunny outlook towards the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the parkland grounds make you feel like you’re staying on a grand, aristocratic estate. All of this only a few minutes from the center of town and close to all the other major wineries. We can’t wait to return.
