The park is fantastic! The sites are all well grassed.
We stayed in two ensuite caravan sites and they were fantastic, very clean and quite large.
The park is conveniently located, close to wineries, lovely bakeries and great restaurants.
It's also not far from Adelaide.

Stayed in an ensuite powered site and loved it. Green grass underfoot and no trekking to shared amenities so well worth the extra cost. Location is great as close to Main Street close to wineries and close to southern beaches just a short drive away. Will come back again.

Stayed here for three nights and it was an excellent stay.

The caravan park is well presented, well maintained and whilst large with lots of sights, does not feel crowded at all. Wise to book as it is a popular destination year round.

The grounds are lovely and we had a spacious, grassed site. The amenities are excellent, there is a camp kitchen and wifi is available.

It is walking distance from the Main Street of McLaren Vale. A little pricey reflecting its popularity.

The park is in a good location and we have stayed previously but unfortunately the facilities have deteriorated. The tennis courts are in very poor condition, as are some amenities. The groundsman does a great job with the lawns and there is plenty of shade, so the campsites are good, however the cabins are over-priced and run-down. Our family of 4 felt claustrophobic inside. There was also an unpleasant odour. The park had advertised a food and coffee van being open and daily kids activities for the dates we were there - neither were open or on offer. Reception staff were not friendly. If we ever stay again, we'd opt for a tent site because it would be more comfortable but honestly think we'll look at booking AirBnb instead.

Having booked nearly 12 months in advance with a group, we arrived to find out we couldn't get in before 2pm so had to leave our motorhome outside and discover McLaren Vale for 2 hours.

We had an ensuite powered site. Ensuite was adequate but no hooks to hang clothes or towels on. On checkout when I suggested an improvement could be made by installing hooks, I was impolitely told "some ensuites have hooks".

The camp kitchen was large and well equipped, but cleaning could be improved, there were so many cobwebs on the walls, ceilings and chairs. Laundry facilities were good.

This should be a great place to stay based on setting and location however staff (office and ground) being rude and abrupt do not enhance the stay.

The staff member on the desk was helpful but that was the only positive aspect of our 2 days stay, which was the minimum stay, although we only wanted to stay one night. The park is "tired", the photos on the website are not anywhere near representative of what the park looks like currently, the pool was under netting and the tennis court surface is ripped and unsafe. Security is an issue and our accom did not have a key for the security screen although you could snib it from the inside. We are a retired couple who stayed in unit 50 which is dated and was not very clean. The pan scrubber had been used and was stained so not hygienic. The mugs were also not clean and had "rings" on the inside. The floor felt sticky as did surfaces. There was no hand towel which we consider a normal amenity. One of the windows did not have a privacy sheer curtain which was facing the road. The location of unit 50 is on the busy exit circuit road where many cars travel passed. For $360 we felt "ripped" off and we will ensure we read the reviews of any place we contemplate next time.

Initially booked to attend last month, however covid hit and we had to delay. Even though there was only 36 hours notice, there was no problem with the Caravan Park rebooking for us in a months time.

We stayed at an ensuite powered site and had a wonderful trip. It was a good sized grassy site, and the ensuite was clean, roomy, and had 240V sockets for use. The camp kitchen was a good size, with TV, microwaves, bbq plates, and gas rings available for use.

The ladies in reception were friendly and welcoming, as were the groundskeepers we came across. The park itself is in a great location and is picturesque. The permanent caravans do ruin the aesthetic somewhat, with many looking dirty and run down, which is about the only criticism we had.

2pm Check in and 10am Check out are strict. As long as you know this ahead of time you can plan your day around it and it isn't an issue.

The 2br cabin, although dated, has everything you could possible want for a short stay. The cabin was spotless, bedding clean and free of creepy crawlies. The park is in a great location with many wineries and eateries within walking distance. Pets are welcome (at a cost).

Cannot believe that I could select a cabin a year ago, get a price, pay for it in full, and then (Sept ‘22) without any notice they put the price up 30% “ because they review their prices annually” and renamed our ‘payment in full’ as a ‘deposit’. There are no mistakes on my part. I only found out when I rang a month ago to drop off one night from the booking. I knew it was school holidays I was booking for when I booked but they didn’t, so the price changed from $140 to $190 a night when they realised apparently. No refunds available, just credits. No alternative but to wear it. Imagine my horror when I pulled back the apparently crisp, freshly made bedsheet to reveal a dirty and obviously slept-in bottom sheet with ‘debris’ and hair on it! Housekeeping laziness is frightening and very disappointing. The lady at reception apologised and offered some credit but I declined. Never again.

I think the previous wingers must be talking about another camp ground in Maclaren Vale.
We have been travelling for 12 months and this is one of the nicer parks we have stayed at with large grassy sites, with clean and very tidy surrounds.
The amenities are roomy and very clean with floor mats in the showers.
The woman at reception were great and especially Bec made sure we were happy with our site.
Sure there are a few directional signs around the place, they are there for the dummies who just can't conform!
If you get the chance stay here, it's a great park.

Hi Noreen, We stayed on a powered site not in a cabin. Best to go onto the parks website for rates, I'm sure they would be quite reasonable. Depending on how long you intend to stay it may be worthwhile becoming a member to gain the benefit of discounts. Cheers Gary.

Hi Noreen, unfortunately I cannot help as we stayed in a powered site. A phone call would clarify everything. Cheers
