Hidden away in an almost untouched corner of the Flinders Ranges, is boutique farm stay Flinders Bush Retreats. 13,000 acres of ancient beauty owned and operated by the McInnis, family 5th and 6th generation graziers who have diversified into tourism to supplement their farm income during times of drought and market lows. 2 self-contained houses provide a private and luxurious escape to experience the outback. Accommodating 6-8 guests each and boasting fully equipped kitchens, modern conveniences, open plan living rooms and large bedrooms. Each house was designed to bring the Australian bush in - offering unique views, superior furniture and quality linens. Have you considered glamping? Perfect for nature lovers who don’t want to rough it, the Eco Tent combines camping with comfort! Recently refurbished the steel framed, insulated canvas tent includes a queen sized bed and luxurious linen, small kitchenette and attached ensuite. We look forward to welcoming you.

Our family stayed for 4 nights in October (ages ranged from 9months- 70+ yeras). The Quarters was the perfect place to relax after long days driving through the Ranges. The house was so well equipped, it had everything we needed. We were grateful to Sharon and family for including our children in some of the everyday "farm life" activities - watching the sheep shearing, feeding the chooks, and playing with the dogs. There are some particularly friendly sheep (and a pony!) who loved to visit our front door! Willow Waters Gorge was a special treat to drive to as well. We would love to visit again.

A beautiful setting in the middle of nowhere, yet only 15 minutes from Hawker. The setting was very peaceful with emus, roos and birds all making themselves part of the scenery. The house was lovely and enjoyed sitting in front of the fire inside or in front of the campfire outside. Took a morning to explore the local gorge on the property as well as Wilpena Pound, which was only an hour or so away. Amazing how quiet it was in the morning, even our kids slept in! The sunsets were a highlight everyday as the sun dipped below the hills and the trees turned to silhouettes

This is the best glamping experience we have had. Lovely location, complete privacy and a wonderful tent. We were lucky to be blessed with a supermoon but it would a great spot when the sky is dark. It is also reasonably priced and eco friendly. Would highly recommend staying here.

The Quarters is a comfortable, well equipped, spacious house. Beautiful sunsets and bird watching from the front verandah. Loved the fire pit! Ours was a group of family that traveled to Wilpina Pound for hiking and mountain bike riding, not too far to travel and the morning views on the way were worth the drive!

We wanted to be self-contained in a place that was comfortable and spacious enough to share with another couple. The Quarters was perfect for us. The bedrooms were well spread out and we had 2 separate bathrooms. The kitchen had everything you could think of and we were able to prepare a range of meals. The bbq was large and has been kept very clean ( as was the whole house). I’d recommend you drive down to Willow Waters Gorge, then have a leisurely walk along the gorge. It is very peaceful. If you’re keen on birds then make sure you stop on the way to the gorge and have a look at the roadside scrub. We saw white-winged fairywrens and white-fronted chats, along with 4 species of raptors. Sharon was very easy to communicate with and everything went smoothly. I’ll be recommending to friends. …

My partner & I stayed at the Eco Tent. We arrived to a cheese platter & bottle of sparkling to take it all in, the perfect start to a magical 2 nights. We lucked out with great weather, clear nights perfect for star gazing & watching the sunrise over the hill from bed. Sharon was so welcoming & helpful. We can’t wait to visit again. The tent was beautiful, clean & warm.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Mt Scott Homestead. The house is just as described in all of the other 5 star reviews but still manages to exceed expectations. We loved the fire inside and the firepit outside. Freshly baking bread on arrival along with some complimentary local produce was a lovely touch. We spent a relaxing day walking out the back through Willow Waters Gorge (easy 6km each way). On several days we drove to Wilpena (about 40mins each way) for day walks up and down and around Wilpena Pound, along with other places of interest. Other days included drives down to Quorn (good IGA!) and up though Parachilna Gorge to the Prairie Hotel for lunch. I took a box of board games hoping the mobile reception would be insufficient for the kids to be on devices, but the 4G was better than expected (unfortunately!). Sharon was very responsive and easy to deal with. No hesitation in recommending this for a fantastic retreat.…

Enjoyed the most relaxing few days in the Eco Tent. Stylish & functional with the comfy bed, electric blankets & hot water adding the ‘glam’ to the ‘camp’. Spent the days exploring the property & the beautiful Flinders Ranges in all her wildflower glory followed by peaceful nights by the idyllic campfire. Warmly welcomed by Sharon on behalf of her family, generously sharing their stunning backyard with us! Highly recommend this unique experience to those who love to ‘camp’ & those who seek the ‘glam’ ❤️
