As two couples we stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The house is perfectly layed out for 2 couples and 4 children. Our first impression on arrival was the warm welcome from Sharon. We had just blown a tyre and she reassured us we could get a replacement in Hawker the next day. The accommodation is modern, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The colour palatte of the rooms is soothing and pleasing with quality linen on beds and practical coloured towels. Although we were mindful of a water shortage in the area the rainwater tanks still provided good shower pressure after a dusty day out on the trails. Lovely local toiletries are provided - lots of nice touches that added to the pleasure of our stay. We met the friendly sheep and beautiful Shadow the kelpie when we went for a wander around the farm. I would highly recommend Flinders Bush retreats to anyone wanting to stay a few minutes from Hawker and a few more from Wilpena Pound - it is a very comfortable, relaxing and easy place to stay.

We stayed in the Mt Scott Homestead which was an absolute delight. Perfect for a couple and/or family, the location, serenity and ambience is something else. A short drive out of Hawker, with kangaroos, emu’s and wedge tail eagles to view along the way. This place is truly spectacular.

What a great place to stay during Easter – Mt Scott Homestead South Australia. I suspect there is nothing like it in the whole of the Flinders Ranges. There were stunning 360°views around the property with the North Flinders Ranges making a superb backdrop. I never thought I would enjoy putting clothes on a clothes line until I stayed at Mt Scott Homestead. The views around the clothes line were astonishing. The Homestead has 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and was so comfortable and spacious. It had everything we could wish for. We loved the extra wide verandahs. It was great to sit outside under the shade to eat, drink, relax and to unwind and take in the gorgeous views, particularly at sunset. It is a photographer’s paradise, just by walking outside and around the property at different times of the day. We loved standing outside at the back of the property once night had fallen to look at the stars. So astonishing clear and shooting starts everywhere. We ventured out to eat at the Cradock Pub – great food, very kid friendly with a trendy dining area and attached playground and The Flinders Food Co at Hawker. I would highly recommend both. The rest of the time we were happy to eat at The Homestead. Such a treat to be surrounded by such iconic stunning South Australian countryside. I would highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Sharon for making us feel so welcome. The house was immaculate and clean on arrival.

We loved the Glamping setup. Very comfortable and memorable stay. We loved being out in the bush with no one around. Ring Sharon and book your stay. It was unforgettable. The tent was well equiped and comfortable, and the solitude was magnificent
