The restaurant had a takeaway menu which had a choice of tasty pizza 🤤 -need to book ahead to get a table at the restaurant. The location was great. Perfect spot to explore the Flinders. Loved the sunset 4wd tour, what a fantastic view. Rooms were comfortable and clean with added extras. Ground coffee was one of them ☕ Easy check-in and check-out. Staff were friendly and helpful

Had a great lamb burger, people were nice, and cabin was clean. But worse bed ever, mattress seems years old with springs sticking into your back… and no hot water in the shower (just tepid), promise of wifi never worked, and we couldn’t work out the TV. So $290 is pretty steep for “superior” cabin for what you get. Also the sign advises $50 if you don’t wash and put away your dishes…so quality control of cleanliness of dishes is questionable. So we gave feedback to the desk - who were under staffed and they did the best they could in saying they would “pass it on”… honestly we couldn’t recommend staying here.

Thank you very much for your review. Your comments reported to reception at departure time regarding the single bed, TV and Internet were definitely passed on to management as soon we entered the reception area. We are always onsite for any issues during your stay and we would love to rectify any problems you may have to ensure your accommodation is as good as possible. We are sorry your stay with us was not up to your expectations. These rooms are all being refurbished in November and Telstra has told us they are putting in a Cell Tower in the next month (hopefully) This should alleviate some of our internet issues and give a better service for our guests. We are pleased you enjoyed our Lamb Burger they are truly delicious. We hope you enjoyed your 1 night stay in the Flinders and the rest of your journey.

We stayed 4 nights in a bush camp on a very busy long weekend. The park was extremely busy with lots of families and the amenities seemed to cope really well and we're always clean when we visited. The reception staff were EXCEPTIONAL (especially Karen) and made our stay so much more fun and enjoyable. They always had a smile on their face (under their mask) and were under enormous pressure from the volume of visitors. The 4WD tracks were very scenic and quite easy. Booking for a flight over the pound looked easy and we plan to do that next trip.

Booked a Heli scenic last week, received a message the night before to be told I was booked on a fixed wing flight. I explained that there was a mistake in my booking and was told to see reception in the morning. Called past and spoke to the heli pilot who had no idea and no record of my booking and told me that even though there was a spare seat the machine would be over weight with me on, completely fair and I understand. I went to reception to find out what had happened. Was not given any explanation, the receptionist just keeps trying to pressure me onto the fixed wing flight and her back up response was the machine was over it’s weight limit. She told me the weight limit and the weight of the other passengers, she did not ask me my weight and as I’m quite good at maths her calculations did not add up. Apologies when you make a mistake, offer solutions and DO NOT LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS

We recently completed a six night stay in the caravan park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending it for a true Australian outback experience. The park is semi-isolated, located several kilometres from the main road. It is quiet and serene, with the ramparts of Wilpena Pound and Rawnsley Bluff forming a stunning backdrop to the park. The colours and hues of the rock faces, in common with many parts of the Flinders Ranges, change dramatically as the sun light goes from morning to afternoon. You won't find bouncy castles and water slides here, you don't need them. The natural features are totally absorbing. There are several walking trails, and bikes can be used on some. The park has a well stocked store and petrol/diesel can be purchased. Tyres can be pumped, and there is a car wash bay available. We found the staff to be friendly and very helpful, and they can provide guidance on many of the activities possible. Mobile coverage is limited with Optus as the current provider. Telstra though is coming in a month or so with a new base. The park is ideally situated to explore the Central Flinders Rangers, with many day drives possible from the Park. There are also 4WD tracks available, with maps provided. Some require a small fee to be paid. From our experience, it is well worth it to be able to enjoy some of the best views of the Flinders. In our view Rawnsley park is highly recommended.
