We had a large group (9 cars & 15 people) from our 4wd club stay here for 6 nights, the staff were very accomodating and the laundry & shower facilities were clean and user friendly, the drive on Skytrek was a great way to spend the day with amazing views, the campsite was large enough to fit us all in and with a central fire pit we spent most of the nights cooking and chatting around the warm fire.
After a friends recommendation for Willow Springs as a Bush camping site my husband and I thought we would give it a try. We didn’t book however not being a weekend or school holidays we were hopeful there would be something. Drove up the property drive. Unsealed road but well kept. Spoke to Michelle at the main reception who was very welcoming and had a few options for us. We chose a private site with an Portaloo for your own use. $25 a night. Booking for two nights with a large bag of fire wood for the campfire. Wood was $20. The track to the site was easily managed by our SUV in 2 wd. 4 wd not necessary. Absolutely huge private spot. Large flat areas for our car and small tent. Also a campfire area with stone blocks for seating and a picnic bench. Portaloo was clean and easy to use. We didn’t expect such luxury on a bush camping trip. After the first night we walked back to the office, about 1km, and booked for a third night. Which was not a problem to do. There are lovely large clean shower/toilet cubicles near the office. Plenty of hot water. We didn’t do the Sky Track but might consider this on a future visit. Which there will be very soon. In summary, this is a beautiful location, very quiet and private, clean with helpful friendly staff.…
Returned to Willow Springs to camp, second time this year. Fantastic campsites and facilities, service at booking, check-in and other times also was great. And skytrek does not disappoint, excellent experience. Highly recommend as a great base for exploring Flinders Ranges area
Loved staying here, great secluded campsites with own portaloo and short drive back to shower block. Very clean and roomy, great for families. Loved doing skytrek 4wd track, amazing, epic with lots to see. Lovely hosts with great communication before, during and after our stay. Highly recommend.
Stayed there for 2 nights in August in the stockmans lodge. THe web site and information are outstanding. The Stockmans lodge was on the hill overlokking the homestad - great views from the deckITvery well equipped and serviced (firewood supplied). , spacious and comfortable. All the mod cons. We took the loop walk (only one really) well sign posted and fairly easy. Great countryside - views and creek bed walking - points of interested signposted. If you go to see the sunset , try to get there well bofore it sets so you can see the changing colous over the hills.
