We drove to Mount Barker Road, Hahndorf to The Studios by Manna, Ascend Hotel Collection Boutique Self-Contained Studio Apartments hidden behind the main thoroughfare of Hahndorf where we stayed for 2 nights What a perfect location with great off street free parking Our apartment was very elegant & plush & even though I rarely tend to give 5 Stars for accommodation, I think that I’ll make an exception in this case. There was only one small glitch in our stay, as there are people out there that don’t drink tea & coffee so it wouldn’t hurt your budget as a token gesture to add a couple of satchels of drinking chocolate 👍 otherwise it was a perfect stay.

We loved our stay in this spacious, well-appointed studio, centrally located behind Hahndorf’s gorgeous Main Street. The room had lovely decor, big screen TV and a little kitchenette, cooking utensils, plates, glasses etc as well as a modern, clean bathroom. I like the firm bed but fluffier, softer pillows would have been lovely. Check-in/reception is clearly marked across the road and parking is off-street, close to studio. Short walk to all cafes, shops, restaurants. Recommend.

The studio was a very good size with a small kitchenette, a table and chairs and a lovely king side bed. There's a big TV with fox sports which made my husband happy. Plenty of storage. The bathroom isn't huge but the shower is a very good size with lovely rain head shower and body spray jets. If you don't like stairs I'd suggest asking for a ground floor studio. The rooms are serviced every day which was a surprise. It was lovely and quiet. For any ladies who are fussy with their hair I'd suggest taking your own shampoo etc and hair dryer.
During the week days there isn't much open for breakfast. Their own restaurant The Haus doesn't open until 8am. However there's an IGA supermarket less than 5 minutes down the road where you could purchase anything you needed to make breakfast in your room.
We did have a little trouble finding it as the street was so busy with traffic and there are so many shops, not all of which are numbered.
You will find the office between Wunderbar Dog Haus (hotdogs not pets) and The Mustard Seed Restaurant on the southern side of the road. The accommodation is on the other side of the road. Before checking in you can park at the accommodation. To get to the carpark you go down a driveway between The Haus restaurant, which has black umbrellas and tables with benches out the front and a little cafe called The Plough. We stayed here for two nights on a family holiday in one of the studios. Each studio is split into an upstairs and downstairs apartment. Both apartments are identical and are comfortably sized, with a king bed, large screen TV, small kitchenette (with electric kettle, toaster and microwave) and a small four seater round dining table. Really liked the bathroom with it's big shower, good water pressure and additional spa jets.
Location is very central (right on the Main Street) and close to restaurants and shops. Having a car park just outside the studio was also a big plus as parking in Hahndorf can be a challenge. There is a pretty garden that leads from the Studios to the Main Street.
The rooms were clean and serviced daily and service at check-in was also impeccable. Due to the separation between the apartments, there was no noise from neighbours meaning a quiet nights sleep. All in all, I couldn't really fault this place and would happily return!

Reservation made for the Oct 2020 long weekend with specific discussion of disability requirements. Failure by staff member to make any booking notes. Impression given that free standing studio was reserved. Arrived and we were assigned an upstairs studio, I use a walking aid and don’t do stairs. Apology and told that all guests had already checked in.
Choices - 1.) go home and lose what we paid for OR 2.) check in.
Feeling backed into a corner we checked in and I had a horrendous time navigating a steep, narrow staircase. I informed staff that this was placing me at risk. Attempt made by staff to relocate us (following a written complaint) was made in the afternoon of the following day but was unacceptable due to poor timing. Told staff called our room the evening before to discuss which never happened as we never left the room. No attempt made to call the following morning either. Overall, poor management of this issue and poor communication compounded the problem as they were making offers to remedy that simply would not have worked out.
Following the stay, I followed up with feedback. Eventually, half of the accommodation was reimbursed when I requested full reimbursement. The accommodation was simply NOT what was booked, what we were lead to believe we'd booked.
I felt excuses were readily available, main one being we don’t guarantee rooms. Well, sorry, discussion was disability specific which is why the stand alone studio was required and booked. Staff appeared to just make things up as they went in an attempt to control any damage. I felt like I was the one to blame when I was not.
Studios by Haus absolutely ruined our much needed long weekend away. We will never stay at this property again nor any other property managed by this group. Make sure you ask that reservation notes have been made if you decide to stay, get names of staff but be prepared to not receive what you think you booked!
(At the time, website stated staff followed Covid safe practices during check in, appropriate social distancing etc. During check in, another party arrived and persons were standing shoulder to shoulder with us. No request made by staff for new arrival to distance. Not enforced which is disappointing for health and safety reasons.)

We make every attempt to make note of special requirements in writing and apologise that this didn't occur. We stayed 5 nights in August in a ground floor studio apartment. The room had everything we needed although it was very cold in the bathroom and a little dark in the kitchen area. The bed was comfortable and well lit. The location was great as we could walk to most of the places we wanted to go and we really enjoyed exploring the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

I booked this very early in our planning of this big trip we’re taking and had requested a ground floor studio. They said they made note of it and I did also call to ask if we were able to get this and the person I spoke with said we definitely would. And we did! So off to a great start even before we arrived. This accommodation is in such a lovely garden setting and we were able to park just steps from the apartment. The kingsize bed was so supportive, I slept really well! My husband can sleep anywhere, but even he commented about how comfortable it was. The bathroom is cosy but modern and well thought out. The shower is spacious with both a rain shower head and side jets - that were SO good! We enjoyed being able to stroll home from dinner and not have to think about driving. Lovely spot. Immaculate accommodations and all the staff we spoke to were friendly and smiling.

The studio had great room and set up. The bed was comfortable. I was disappointed that the bathroom grout was really dirty and bathroom fan was mouldy and full of cobwebs. I didn’t like that the room didn’t have a lock or latch on the inside of the room. I didn’t feel safe .

A lovely studio, very cute and comfortable. Very central in the township which made walking everywhere very easy. The room size was good with the only negative from our perspective was that the king bed was two singles pushed together. We would definitely stay here again

Stayed here for a few days the other week. Very enjoyable, clean and comfortable. Well appointed accommodation that offered good value for money. After spending all day and evenings out exploring the local delights, it was indeed pleasant to repose oneself in the quiet charm of the studios.
