We arrived around lunchtime…and our room was ready and owners very welcoming. The cottage is immaculate and just lovely…we just spent 5 days in Adelaide in a unit a bit more costly than this one…but would absolutely choose this one out of the 2. The cottages are very central to everything….gated parking…and very quiet. We lunched at The German Arms Hotel which was delicious and have just shared honey chicken and fried rice from just across the street which was also delicious. Our only negative is that we only have one night here before moving on tomorrow. I would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through this way. We would definitely stay here again, it is a credit to the owners.

As if Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills aren't enough, Oak Tree Cottages made this visit a superb experience. The host and hostess greeted us on arrival. Their obvious pride in these beautifully renovated cottages is well placed. Oak Tree Cottages is right in the middle of Hahndorf but the accommodation is whisper quiet. The cottages are well equipped and scrupulously clean. The WiFi is excellent. There is ample, secure parking behind locked gates. Oak Tree Cottages could not be improved.

The six cottages surround a superb, yet intimate courtyard dominated by a massive oak tree. This is a perfect couples retreat at whatever age you are! The location is perfect. Right by the Hahndorf main street, but you wouldn't know it when you're there and easy to miss the security gated entrance if you're not looking! So much to see, eat and drink within walking distance. Hosts Russell and Lisa are gems too! Cannot speak highly enough of this property and will be returning.

Great location, nice stay. Many quality places to eat within only a couple of minutes walk. Place is very nice ( as previous reviews have stated) Reverse cycle heating/cooling available, night light in the bathroom, towels are thick and thirsty, full length mirror on back of bedroom door( I didn't see it until much later), milk in fridge, microwave, Coles service station very close across the road if you get peckish before 10pm. Secure parking meant that I had no concerns about the car.

This is a great place to stay, very central and has everything you need, but our experience was an odd one. After being checked into our unit and chatting to the owner for 10 or so minutes, we had them try to check someone else into the same unit the next day during our stay. This is fine as things happen, but we then got a knock on the door from the owners who were not happy asking who we were, how long we had been there, someone else needed our room and telling me that they don’t remember checking us in despite them showing us the room the day before and giving us the gate access. It was a very unsettling experience. They later apologised but told us that they had put us in the wrong unit but the whole experience made us feel very uneasy and unwelcome. I’m hoping this is a one off given other reviews.

If it is relaxation you’re after, then this is the place. As this was our 25th wedding anniversary and I was still recovering from breast cancer surgery, it was perfect. The owners Greg & Sue are lovely and very accommodating, even though our plane was delayed and put us two hours behind time, we just had to give them a call when we arrived and we were met at the gate. We were taken to our room where the heater was already on for our arrival. being right in the Main Street everything you need is just a short stroll away, but you could not hear any noise from your room. Free on site parking is always a plus. We will definitely be back to stay!!!!

This beautiful little place is in the main street of Hahndorf, park your car in their secure car park , you are in walking distance for every thing . The cottages are delightful, very clean and their littles gardens are great.
Sue And Greg Brown run the place, and if you need any thing, they are so obliging. We had a great stay and we will be back for sure. Come on South Aussies get behind them.

Very beautiful,comfortable and quiet unit in the middle of Hahndorf. Secure off street parking. Lots of little things in the unit to make it feel special. Very soft and thick towels that you don’t find in most accommodations. Would highly recommend this property.

This is a top shelf set up all round. Gated parking, excellent private rooms and central location. The staff are nearly non existent but that was fine. Once checked in they leave you alone unless you need something. We enjoyed not having to worry about when housekeeping might want to get in etc. The rooms are large, quiet and well appointed.

Great location on the Main Street but set back so no traffic noise. Delightful 1 bedroom cottage, which are a credit to the friendly owners. We spent 2 nights there as we had a function to go to nearby on the Saturday night. The unit was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfy too. Would highly recommend staying there if you are looking for accommodation in Hahndorf.
