Just had a 2 night stay in a spa room in this lovely hotel. The room was spacious, modern and very clean. The manager Micheal was friendly and helpful and met us after hours to show us to our room. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes within 2 minutes walk for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stayed in room 2 close to the road but it very quiet and we didnt hear any road noise at night, The room had a nice king size bed which was very comfortable, a nice lounge type chair, a small table with two chairs. The bathroom was huge with a good size 2 person spa all very clean and neat looking, The towels were large bath sheets and were soft and fluffy.

The Stables proved to be a great find. It was the most reasonably priced upon research. We stayed upstairs in room 8. While compact, it was clean,neat, well designed and decorated and looked very fresh. The kind motel operator rang to find out when we were arriving and had the air con on for us. Plenty of towels and toiletry supplies. Bottled water was supplied at no charge. Parking is a little walk but certainly not unmanageable. A fantastic Cafe within a few steps.

We come to Hahndorf, from Melbourne, after Christmas every year. And have stayed at The Stables for several years now.
The friendly hospitality of Thomas & Donna have made us feel like part of the family as a result of which we have enjoyed our stays.
Located in the centre of Hahndorf, the Stables is in the heart of the town and within a short stroll of all the shops & restaurants.
We are looking forward to visiting again this time next year.

We spent a night here and it is the perfect place to stop. The history of the original part of the biking and the surrounding area is amazing! Donna(host) is an absolute delight and nothing is too much trouble. The room was quaint, very comfortable and right in the middle of town (it wasn’t noisy at night) Well worth the stop.

Luckily for us the Stables Inn Boutique Motel had a last minute vacancy. The Stables Inn is just off the main street of Hahndorf so you can park your car and walk to shops, pubs, cafes and wine bars. Despite that it was very quiet. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed. The owners were really friendly.

Very generous sized room though I did think the lay out was odd as the small TV was tucked up next to bunk beds and other than the dining space only one arm chair so nowhere really to sit and watch telly. Having a family room the master was separate. It had a comfy bed but I think this space would be better suited to the bunk so if you have children you can pop them to bed and not have to retire when they do given the bathroom was off the main space as was the kitchen space. Having said that it was clean well appointed and couldn't be located any better. Special mention to the manager the lovely Donna who couldn't have been more helpful or done more to ensure we had what we needed, service second to none.

Doesn’t have a proper check in desk. Dusty rooms and bad drainage in shower. Could not find staff to make up room or empty trash. No fresh milk or coffee provided. Very expensive. Noisy room with restaurants above and opposite.

Very clean modern room. Comfy bed. Friendly staff, what more can I say??
Centrally located in Hahndorf, 20 steps to Main Street.
We were very lucky as we got a room upgrade, we weren't expecting it, but it just goes to prove that being polite and understanding can play out nicely in your favour.
Very happy to stay there again when in Hahndorf next!!!

Last minute booking and couldn’t have been happier. We stayed in room #1 - spacious and modern. Owners were lovely and happy to have a chat and recommend attractions in the area. Great little Thai place out front where we also enjoyed a fabulous meal!
