Whilst the management were helpful when having to change booking due to Covid 19 they could do with some PR management after we got there. We had booked the "Ensuite" site but after 3 days there had been no cleaning done so requested a squeegee to clean the floor due to mud being taken in plus another toilet roll and was told that toilet rolls were our responsibility but they would replace one on this occasion. A bucket and mop were left in the ensuite but they did not clean. On the weekend the children can get noisy and if you are wanting peace and quiet then request a site in the northern section and well away from the pools, jumping pillow and camp kitchen that houses a piano that kids just love to make noise with. Laundry is good but washing machines could also be cleaned but they do work.

We recently stayed for a few nights. We were given site 22 which was very close to the new extension to the park. The days started very early as we were woken by earthmoving equipment etc. Also the permanent cabin who we were next to had their sprinklers go off at 3.00am, spooked our dog, who has sprinklers go off at 3.00am?? Amenities block was average, grout missing, old shower cubicles and at reception we were given information telling us to wipe sink down before/after using with the disinfectant provide, only problem, none provided?? I think they should fix the old before starting the new. The park itself was okay, quiet, grassed sites which were quite large. I expect when the new part is opened it will become quite a busy family park.

Had booked before the previous reviews were online an got pretty scared. Checked in today (in school holidays) and will be staying four nights. We booked an unpowered site and stay with a tent. There is NOthing wrong with Goolwa Lakeside Caravan Park. Staff were friendly at check in. Nice and well kept grassy sites and a massive amount of reasonably clean toilets and showers. Price very ok as well. We normally stay at National Parks and like this kind of camping better, but for a "traditional" caravan park perfectly fine. Have to admit that we normally fall asleep way before 10pm when camping and are not bothered the least by peace and quiet.

Stayed in our caravan, large concrete slab, well maintained grass areas and lots of space. Wonderful facilities with 2 pools, 2 jumping pillows, 2 parks and loads of space for kids to play and adults to relax. The movie nights are amazing! There are several camp kitchens, the new one is an incredible asset. The new shower block is well maintained, and the staff are constantly cleaning and maintaining around the site. The upgrades look great and we will definitely be back! Well done on all the improvements. Staff always seem to be happy to help

I would not recommend staying other than overnight for a hot shower. Stayed 4 days and the toilets were only cleaned properly on the last day. You had to compete with the Motel towels for dryers. One of which broke while we were there leaving only 1 working. No signs placed on dryer to warn that it was out of order. Strict 10.00pm noise curfew with other visitors getting annoyed even if you are just sitting outside talking. BBQ,s still broken since Jan 2013 comment. Earthworks have leveled the large camping area to prepare for building retirement village.
Maintenance guy was very helpful when we needed to borrow a ladder. I believe the Park is slowly dying as 17 annuals have left in the last 6 months. Good Luck to the new owners with the retirement Village but I don't think you are being fair to Caravan Park visitors.
ONLY recommendation is that the showers are good.
PS: No direct access to Lake.

This place should be closed down b the health department . We stayed in a cabin. The bathroom was so dirty . It had mould growing out of the cracks in the floor tiles , the bed. Had a piled mattress protector so it was like sleeping on sand, the staff at reception were so rude and cold not care les about our concerns. There are not enough bathroom facilities to cater the number of people they rip off with their hi fees. Do not stay here.

I would like to comment on the condition of their AMENITIES they were very disappointing and very unclean,I would suggest that the cleaner take the time to actually go in the toilet close the door and have a good look it is disgusting the cobwebs and scum on the floor was pretty disappointing the laundry wasn't much better with the floor covered in scum cobwebs and white particles everywhere. I was actually in the toilet on a Sunday when a gentle man came In wiped down the benches and that was it ,toilets not even looked at.Never again

We stayed in one of the cabins for a couple of nights. The toilet needed a really good clean, as did the floor, the lounge was covered in stains. Everything about the cabin was dated and cheap - including the one roll of toilet paper that we were given for two nights ( for four people). Most of our food was invaded by ants in the kitchen. For the price, it was an absolute rip-off. I have stayed at quite a few caravan parks and I would absolutely recommend booking at any of the Big4 parks; they are well run, very clean, with great facilities.
The park has a 10PM curfew. On the second night, the group behind us were still up and outside at 11PM. The owner was contacted and spoke to them, which had little effect, as they were still outside talking until midnight.
I would never, ever stay at this place again. I now know why they were the only park in this area that had availability at this time.

This park still has the feel of being a rural caravan park. It is updated and the staff are helpful and friendly. The park is still small but it means kids don't get lost and everything is easy to find. The only issue was that the toilets were cleaned (I think) but were always dirty. Another toilet block would be useful.

We stayed there 4 nights on powered site cost $40 per night. This is NOT a forty dollar a night caravan park, over priced. The "lawn" was nothing but dead grass, they claim they have to save water, more of a penny pinching exercise to save money on water bills. Our van is fully self contained (thank God) their amenities were very limited, and just average, cleanliness could have bean better no where near enough facilities for a park this size. If you stay on a tent site amenities and camp kitchen are at the opposite end of the park, about as far away as possible. This is now the only park in the area so I suppose it's a case of take it or leave it. We will definitely be leaving it (not going back)
