With no pre-planning we arrived in Goolwa by motor vehicle and were lucky to get an upstairs room for one night as the motel was then fully booked for the two yearly weekend Wooden Boat Festival, It was an upstairs room and although we are in advancing years we could park by the stairs and only take essential items to...

We felt the room was quite expensive for the facilities on offer, very basic. Rather dark room, bathroom and kitchen facilities mixed with minimal cutlery and china, no microwave . Poor quality towels. No seating outside unit, so with swimming pool area out of action no outdoor space. Whilst we appreciate it is under new management (and the staff were...

The family and I were traveling from Melbourne to Adelaide in April and wanted to stop in Goolwa to see the barrages, the mouth of the River Murray and the Coorong. The only hotel in town that was still open at 7 pm. Still, it was the right choice. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was tidy and had a...

My wife, grand-daughter (aged 11) and I visit Goolwa every year in January school-holidays.. Always stayed at this Motel. This is the second time under the new management after my wife and I both commented on how much better it is. The new owners are great, trying very hard to improve what has been a somewhat neglected operation. Rooms are...

Greeted upon arrival with a smile is always the best way to start off a stay & that's exactly what we received. The room was clean & neat. We were surprised by the sheer size of the family room & the fact there was a seperate roof for the two single beds. The beds could have been more comfortable as...

We had booked the family room for 4 adults. Stayed one night after attending a local party. Room was very dated and had a musty smell. Beds were so soft you sank a foot down as soon as you sat on them. One of our party ended up sleeping in the car. Bathroom was smaller than my ensuite at home...

Motel has changed hands and the new owners are trying their best to bring this Motel up to scratch. The room was good , nice comfortable bed , showers a bit dated but ok water very hot. The rest of the kitchen ok all the cups and plates old type. We always take our own mugs. These Motels never supply...
