Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved our stay at Rawnsley Park Station! We stayed in the pet friendly standard 3 bedroom cabin. Its was perfect for what we needed. Appreciated the aircon in the early November 30+ heat. We loved that there was a pool on site and we swam daily. They offer dog sitting services at the caravan park which meant we were still able to go into Wilpena Pound for a hike. The staff at the caravan park were super friendly and looked after our Beaglier, Basil, so well. Can’t wait to come back in winter and enjoy a camp fire!

Rawnsley Park is situated in a stunning setting and the accommodation offers everything needed. The Woolshed restaurant is more than worth a visit offering outstanding food. If 4wd is your thing then Rawnsley is a great base camp

Our first visit to Flinders Ranges. Rawnsley Park is a perfect location for exploration of the southern Flinders. Campsite with view of the bluff is special. Birdlife is noisy and interesting and the amenities are very clean. It was nice to be in a campsite that doesn't have 'rules' signage everywhere. Cannot comment on the generously sized camp kitchen as we didn't use it.

We have been to Rawnsley Park 3 times, this time we stayed in a superior unit not the caravan park as before. We were very impressed with the high standard of facilities and cleanliness, best bed ever. Spectacular views over Rawnsley Bluff, friendly helpful staff. On previous visits enjoyed the Woolshed restaurant very much so this time decided to book every night there. The food is beautiful but the menu just a bit limited for choice over 5 nights. Having said that we love it here and cant wait to come back - Jackie and Frank Chapman

We camped at the caravan park, having requested a particular site which had been recommended to us. Very friendly staff and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Site was good, level with easy access for a camper trailer. A nice view of the bluff and shady from trees to the east. The trees were full of birds with babies. A wonderful diversion while we relaxed over a cuppa. Amenities were clean and tidy, clothes washing facilities were good and $4 per wash - a very fair price. We will definitely be back.

Stayed in adjoining cabins with great views of Rawnsley Bluff. Bed was very comfortable and cabins clean and tidy. Purchase breakfast items and barbeque meat at Hawker or Quorn before you arrive. There is a store in the Caravan Park if you are short of anything. You can walk the 1.5 km to the Caravan Park along a well marked track. Barbeque facilities are plentiful and well maintained. Our cabins ( 14 and 15 ) were only a short 5 minute walk to the Woolshed restaurant which has great meals. We had the lamb shanks which were superb. Even better is the Happy Hour between 4 pm - 6 pm. Try the bush walk along Alison Saddle to Pines Cave. It is graded 'moderate' and 6.5 km long. Access can be made at rear of cabins near the check-in office. Great walk and spectacular 180 degree views. I can highly recommend a stay here but make sure it is no less than 2 days as there is plenty to see.

What a fantastic place to stay, beautiful spot, we loved every minute here. Only complaint would be we only had 2 nights here, so wish it was longer. Very comfortable and clean accommodation, Great restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Would certainly stay here again.

Great place to celebrate my brother’s 50th. 3 family groups, 3 different units. We scored unit 41, a two bed superior unit. This is part of the newer set of units and at the time we stayed was the last in the row giving us 180 degree views. Totally spectacular. The bed was Devine, the unit is modern and the fully fitted out kitchen was great. For the coffee snobs there was a plunger with great ground coffee to go with it. We will be back

We stayed in a superior room and found it to be a perfect for our needs. It was clean and tidy and the large bed was very comfortable. Not far too wander out for sunset/sunrise or to head over to the restaurant. We really liked that we had a covered carport for our car. The activities on offer were great, we did a 4WD tour and a flight over Wilpena Pound. We enjoyed the stay very much and dinner at the Woolshed is recommended. Would also recommend stocking up on supplies in Port Augusta or Hawker first.

Gorgeous villa with excellent breakfast provided. Bed very comfortable and every mod con you could wish for including laundry. Gratis wine a nice touch. Woolshed restaurant was very good. Try the lamb chops (not like Mum used to cook!) or the roo. Walking trails well marked. Cycle trail less so. but worth it for the views. A spectacular place.
