We stayed at one of the studio cabins which have all you need -full kitchen facilities and modern bathroom. We were within walking distance of the Restaurant (top class meals, with an amazing view..especially at dusk) and the pool...which we enjoyed every day. The walks were wonderful and we loved reading about the history of the Station. A fabulous experience.
We had a powered site. Good size. All sites looked easily accessible. Ablution blocks were spotless any time of the day. Well equipped campers kitchen, the only location in the park for Telstra service.
From the moment we arrived at reception, the vibe just kept getting better and better, from the two chickens who appeared from no where and started cleaning the squashed insects from our car bumper (which really made us laugh) then the friendliness of the reception staff. Our unit was called Hakea and it was amazing and exactly as shown on the online pictures. This is not always the case with some booking sites and you are shown the best only to find it is not the same as viewed. We were blown away as we entered the door - it was like Wow! So much attention to detail and the amenities and breakfast provisions were more than generous and not just minimum quantities for 3 people. Really incredible. The view was also amazing and we spent the first day reclining on the verandah, relaxing in absolute peace and serenity with the birdlife and occasional kangaroo. The kitchen had everything we needed and was well stocked with equipment. Also had a dishwasher, and washing machine too. We took the morning tour through the two gorges and our host was 'Maddy' an enthusiatic and well informed tour guide and kept us entertained with a host of facts. We were so pleased to be on this tour. We cant wait to stay at the eco villas again and can highly recommend Rawnsley Park.…
consistent across all room types. very friendly in all areas. So much better than wilpena pound. We meant to book superior room, but standard room was adequate. Rawnsley Park always meets my expectations.
Fantastic eco villa with sky lights above the bed to watch the beautiful stary sky at night. Well equipped kitchen with a stocked fridge for breakfast including fruit juice, eggs ,croissants, toast and a selections of cereals. We did the 4 wheel drive tour, sunset tour and miring flight. All highly recommended if you want to experience the whole area. Our tour guide was Phil who was extremely informative and a real character- he made the trip so exciting.
