I experienced all the best of the outback character here. In the late afternoon, after 120 kms on dirt roads with sharp rocks, our 2WD finally got a flat. We had just turned onto the Arkaroola road and it hit me that the kids and I only had one spare tyre and 150 km between us and the bitumen. Halfway...

Great fun and knowledge with the Sprigg family and staff. Yellow footed rock wallabies so beautiful. Ridge top tour fantastic and bumpy but well worth the 5 hours in Mark Sprigg's company..Doug Sprigg a brilliant goldmine of information and articulate raconteur/political commentator. Lovely swimming pool and ice cold West End beer..what more do you want? 130 kms dirt road s...

My family visited Arkaroola and the staff went above and beyond when I had to ride a push bike 2km as we had 3 flat tyres 2km out. Staff were so helpful and the property is amazing with an even more amazing pool and what they have to offer. I have already started planing to return with as many friends...

The room was decent and clean, The Ridge Top Trip was outstanding and Doug was a great guide and fortunately a great driver...do the trip...the only niggle was the food...poor, not what they say it is...not well cooked...dissapointed with that side especially when they say a 3 course meal and it turns out to be a slapped together meal of...

This is truly a remote and beautiful location. Very harsh location so don't go expecting gardens and lawn areas , this is the bush. Dirt and flys. We stayed 3 nights in an unpowered camping site. First reaction was a bit disappointing and I thought that the whole place could do with a bit of TLC however the staff were...

The most isolated self sufficient village in Australia! What a great title to have and still offer a service where everyone feels comfortable as soon as they walk in from that long dusty drive/ride! A place that offers a bar to drink, a restaurant that runs like clockwork and a clean room to stay. You wouldnt go this far without...

This is an awesome place, do the Ridgetop tour and the night sky observation tour, both spectacular.... We also stayed in the powered site in the camp ground and dined in the Restaurant. Even though it was busy the food was good and generous. Well worth the road trip on the unsealed roads with a caravan.

Every day was a wonderful experience. Our tour group (Truely Tribal) stayed for three nights which was not long enough. The 4WD tours a total joy for amazing scenery and animal sightings. Great viewing of the sky thanks to Doug's presentation in the observatory (even with a near fun moon which floods the sky with light) plus his piloting skills...

This is a wonderful and amazing place full of adventure and beauty. Not for the 'princess' variety but for those who seek something completely different. Yes it is a very long way from plumbers, carpenters, electricians so there are occasional glitches! These are promptly seen to when reported! This is my 9th time here as it is such great fun!...
