Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for 2 nights in the pretty village of Yungaburra in these lovely & spacious cottages in a verdant garden setting. Located close to everything specially the resident platypus viewing area. There was a enclosed private little outdoor seating with 2 chairs & table, a very spacious bathroom with a large couple jacuzzi & toiletries, very comfortable bed with quality linen, adequate seating & coffee table. The place was very quiet & the car parking was just outside. We met the very helpful & friendly staff the next morning. This was easily one of our most favourite stays in a month long trip to Australia.

We stayed for a few nights in a comfortable room but were let down by the weather which was wet and cold. A highlight was dinner at Little Eden, the restaurant in the historic building (lots of character) on the main street, at the front of the accommodation.

It's not often I think just about every menu item looks good. Everything we chose was great, we would have gone back again but it wasn't open every night due to staff shortages. Friendly, prompt service.

Very comfortable stay, all needs catered for. The staff went out of their way to be helpful when we needed to organise a pre departure Covid test for New Zealand. First class meal in the well appointed restaurant. Loved walking by the river every evening spotting duck billled platypus and tree kangaroos

In Yungaburra for the Tablelands Folk Festival. Itself a treat with so many festivals closed during Covid. Stopped for dinner at Eden House between shows. The Pulled Pork burger was very good, not at all dry, and the Nachos not far behind. The glasses of white generous. Covid has been so tuff on the food and beverage service industries that being aware of this, one is prepared to make allowances. In this case they haven't dropped their standards at all. Thankyou so much for lovely dinner.

The room was nice and set in a lush green environment. After arriving back to our room just after 11pm, a rock band was playing in the Eden front area. The volume was at level that homes streets over could easily hear. A call to reception to ask when this may stop, was met with little concern and a reply of ‘they may stop in half an hour’. I cannot believe that an accomodation provider would have so little respect for their guest staying only meters away or their neighbours.

Last minute decision to stay there but so glad we did. Beautiful cottage tucked away off the road, so quiet and peaceful. We indulged in cheese and port and slept with the amazing quietness of the whole area. Well done, we will return

Staff were so friendly and helpful, the cleaning staff could not do enough for you. Beautiful rooms, lovely grounds. Close to town, restaurants and shop. Great location. Our room was so welcoming when we arrived. Bush walks and platypus near by. Great base to do the waterfalls circuit from. A most do location

Have stayed here many times before. Breakfast hamper is lovely including fresh ground coffee. Room clean and comfortable. Bed romantically made with teddy bear and toiletries. Location is ideal to town with easy walking access to other locations.

We are locals and wanted somewhere close to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Other places were either too expensive or too far away. I settled on this place (without telling the bride), and she was pleasantly surprised when we got there. Had a great stay. All was good. The wifi was iffy though, but that wasn't what we were there for.
Will recommend the Eden to everyone.

Answer from EdenHouseManager
Yungaburra, Australia
Hi JR, Thank you for your reservation. My sincere apologies I have only just received your query. Our on site restaurant is operated independently but in association with our accommodation. The name is Obi's Restaurant or sometimes referred to as Eden Obi's. Their website is hard to find but their facebook page is very popular. Look for Obi's Yungaburra. You are right, it is extremely popular with locals and visitors alike and is routinely fully booked at least two weeks in advance. Their menu is definitely a standard above what we are used to! Unfortunately, they do not open Monday, Tuesday or Wednesdays..... If you are flexible with your dates and would like to change your arrival to Thursday I am more than happy to assist you... I am unable to give you my email address through this answer but it is readily available from booking sites. Please feel free to email me and I will do my utmost to alter your reservation if that is something you feel you would like to do. I await your response and look forward to welcoming you in March. Kind regards, Siobhan Boyd Accommodation Manager
