Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For those that have stayed at Young and Jackson’s directly across the road from Flinders steet Station in Melbourne then you will know the famous Chloe picture in the restaurant upstairs. Wondai Hotel has a Chloe painting in the main dining room which is just as spectacular. Your host Dave is full of stories about the town is inviting and a nice bloke. Do yourself a favour visit the Wondai hotel

After arriving in the afternoon we were greeted by the friendly owner Carmel who looked after us and made us feel welcome and like we were at home. After settling in we had a few drinks by the fire, then enjoyed a delicious meal before we enjoyed a port and off to bed. The hotel has recently been restored and you can see a lot of attention to detail to maintain the 100 yr old character and charm. Rooms were cosy, bed very comfy and we had a good rest. Food and lodgings were very reasonably priced and we will definitely return.

We booked for NYE dinner and weren't disappointed. Staff were dressed up in fancy dress to see in the NY - it was busy but service was very good. We were seated on the back deck which was cool and comfortable. The food was also very good - my partner had a sirloin, and I had salt and pepper calamari. Restaurant prices - not pub prices. We were offered a range of quality wines. There looked to be a big outdoor play area for children; we had just had a big storm so none were playing outside when we were there.
