This caravan park was amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful they let us pick our site and dog friendly. The pool was amazing on a 40 degree day. The sites are large and beautiful amenities they may be old but they are functional. The shop has stickers and ice and drinks and the roadhouse is only 200 meters

Nice little park to stay in, we were on a powered site in a smaller hybrid so had a lovely shady spot. Sites were a good size and well defined, just be mindful of the steel railway sleepers that define the sites and your tyres. The grounds and amenities are spotless and there are also people around keeping the areas clean and gardening, etc. Nice looking pool area.

We often used this park when visiting Winton, but unfortunately the deterioration prevented us from staying in recent years! On arrival I could not believe the change which had occurred. This is now a very well designed park for either campers or caravanners, offering some shade together with a pool. There are several amenity blocks with only one being unisex style, regular emptying of bins, and excellent service provided not only by Reception but from all of the workers within. Wishing you success for the future as you deserve to do well!

The start of the Outback Way Australia's Longest Shortcut.
We stayed here 2 nights and had friends come up from Biloela to see us and our friends set off on our adventure.
Very friendly helpful reception.
Laundry washing machine was out of action but we were told to use theirs.
Close to town.
Opposite the roadhouse.
Powered sites and cabins.
We were entertained both nights by a Bush Poet Gregory North who recited The Man from Snowy River in an unusual way. A must if you are staying.

We booked a queen room on our way to the East Coast. Was what we needed after a long drive and the pool was an added bonus in 40 degree heat. The room was relatively cool with the aircon however did struggle a bit in the afternoon heat. Staff were friendly and checking was an ease. Options are limited in these outback towns however the Winton Roadhouse, Cabins and Caravan Park are worth the stop to rest up for the night.

We stayed on the way home from our Darwin trip. Called up to book and spoke to nice people who made it quick and easy. There is a road house over the road that sells some basic food, it’s not so much a restaurant place but a roadhouse with a couple of tables. We were worried about being close to the busy intersection with trucks being a little noisy during the day plus close to the railway line. After 9pm every thing went silent with a good nights sleep. It took me a little while to work out the rotten egg smell, though it was the sewer but I think all of Winton has bore water with that Sulfur smell, pretty strong but when you know it’s ok. There is a bush poet in the park each night at 7.30, they say he is good we missed it. A good stop for us with friendly staff.

Great van park, many sites under shady trees, very friendly staff. We could choose our own spot which was nice. Lots of machines for use in the laundry. Used the pool which was very refreshing, but unfortunately going green in the heat. Children's playground available. The lady at reception was very helpful with advice on what to visit in town & for the Age of Dinosaurs Museum (her advice, go in the morning when it's cooler). We had 2 nights there & enjoyed some time out sitting in the breeze & shade next to our van. Could've easily stayed longer. Also, the van park was used in the Mystery Road movie!

Terrific service from lass at reception when we arrived. Accommodation was good, clean and well presented. We requested a couple of items from reception and they obliged without question. Would definitely stay again, well priced and quiet surroundings.

This is a lovely place to stop with wide open spaces and easy access. The managers are very welcoming and helpful with local attractions too. Easy hook up to power and water. The water is artesian and so has a strong odour that we didn’t enjoy so disconnected from our van. A basic kitchen is available as well as usable but dated toilet / bathroom facilities. These are currently being upgraded which will be nice once completed.

We cannot thank and speak highly enough of the crew at Winton Roadhouse Cabins and Caravan park. They offer great customer service and are friendly, helpful and put the customer first! They looked after us so well. This park is now under NEW MANAGEMENT and they are really working hard to make this one amazing site. A quick trip into town and other essential services. All sites are flat and on gravel with some having a concrete slab. The amenities are new and cleaned daily; the swimming pool is a handy addition as is the kids dip pool! This is a great place to pull in for a night or for a few days! We are looking forward to our 13 day stay and visiting the many attractions in teh area.

"Sites were on dirt/dust, definitely recommend a mat for van to cut down on spreading inside the van. We also put an extra town down near door inside. "
