Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Property's Favourite Review
This was our fourth visit to Diamondvale cottages. In case that doesn’t speak for itself, I’ll mention what we love this place. The cottages are beautifully presented. The place is peaceful, with a babbling creek, forest and wildlife. Inside the cottages, there are loads of nice features, such a fireplace, comfortable bed, and extra blankets, just in case! Close enough to town to walk in and yet far enough to maintain a sense of quiet and relaxation.

And once again, our time away at Diamondvale was bliss! Visiting this time in summer, was as good as it is in winter. While the coast was sweltering, we were enjoying pleasant summer temperatures being up on the Granite Belt. Love the improvements since we were last there including the eastern garden and lots of yard work, and we just love how QUIET it is. The loudest thing is my tinnitis!

Beautiful well appointed cottages only 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive to Stanthorpe. Kangaroos grazing outside the cottages, loads of birds and if you are really lucky you may see a platypus in the creek. One of my favourite summer escapes , go to the highlands and leave the crowds on the beaches.

Peaceful and very comfortable. Surrounded by nature, kangaroos coming to visit. Open fires prepared by the creek, inviting guests to sit and stargaze while kids grill marshmallows. Some cottages have two bedrooms with an ensuite each. Living room with open kitchen is large and nicely furnished.

Thank you David & Rachael for being so warm and welcoming upon our arrival for our weekend stay. Thank you for having our family and for sharing your stunning property with us and beautiful private self-contained cottages on the banks of Quart Pot Creek in a natural bush setting. So much attention to detail & passion, and, of course, all the hard work, time, and energy in the maintaining of Diamondvale Estate so peaceful and quite yet so close to Stanthorpe township, making it a hidden gem indeed. It was the perfect place for our family gathering with each family having their own personal space, and for a birthday celebration. Thank you Rachael for the organising of our breakfast boxes and special request for dinner in the Pioneer Hut for our birthday girls and for preparing the dinner and the surprise birthday cake. A special touch and wonderful thought! Our family loved the gathering set-up of the Pioneer Hut and that touch of yesteryear's charm. Thank you both from our whole family.

Tranquillity personified yet very handy to walk into town. David and Rachel are delightful. The native landscaping is fabulous. The cottage is very comfortable. Bring your own serviettes and matches for the lovely candles provided. The breakfast trays are not Rachel's , these are outsourced.

This quiet secluded place is just outside the main Stanthorpe township along Quart Pot Creek. There are a selection of private cottages from one to two bedroom ones to choose from. Beautiful gardens and a communal cabin to enjoy activities or eat in down near the creek. We stayed in the Camelia Cottage and had a quiet spot outside on the verandah to enjoy the sun and listen to the chorus of birds. We had a slow burn fireplace for the cold nights and then we also had the aircon when it got hot during the day. There is a small kitchenette to make your own meals or you can use the bbq down at the Pioneer Cabin along the creek. The bed was extremely comfy as well. Our hosts were very welcoming and accomodating but never intrusive of our stay as we wandered around the grounds. You can also enjoy a nice walk along the creek into town if you so desire and you can pass under a historic railway bridge on the way too. The skies are amazingly dark so close to town to enjoy astrophotography and also to take sunrise and sunset photos if you are into that sort of thing. There are also lots of birds! At reception there is a huge selection of DVDs should you wish to watch some movies the old way not on netflix. We hardly used the TV in the cottage as we had so many things to do outside and visit in the region nearby. It was an amazing two night mini stay down there and we would love to visit again.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Camelia Cottage at Diamondvale recently and had the best time. Rachael and David are the greatest hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The cottage was perfectly appointed and the bed so comfortable and the surrounds simply beautiful. The entire experience was simply wonderful.
