This quiet secluded place is just outside the main Stanthorpe township along Quart Pot Creek. There are a selection of private cottages from one to two bedroom ones to choose from. Beautiful gardens and a communal cabin to enjoy activities or eat in down near the creek. We stayed in the Camelia Cottage and had a quiet spot outside on the verandah to enjoy the sun and listen to the chorus of birds. We had a slow burn fireplace for the cold nights and then we also had the aircon when it got hot during the day. There is a small kitchenette to make your own meals or you can use the bbq down at the Pioneer Cabin along the creek. The bed was extremely comfy as well.
Our hosts were very welcoming and accomodating but never intrusive of our stay as we wandered around the grounds. You can also enjoy a nice walk along the creek into town if you so desire and you can pass under a historic railway bridge on the way too. The skies are amazingly dark so close to town to enjoy astrophotography and also to take sunrise and sunset photos if you are into that sort of thing. There are also lots of birds!
At reception there is a huge selection of DVDs should you wish to watch some movies the old way not on netflix. We hardly used the TV in the cottage as we had so many things to do outside and visit in the region nearby. It was an amazing two night mini stay down there and we would love to visit again.

This was my husband and my 4 th stay at Diamondvale Estate. This time we took family and friends and booked all 4 cottages, for belated birthday and Xmas in July celebrations. Everything was perfect, from the decorations in the Settler’s Hut for our Mexican and Xmas in July nights, the buffet breakfast for us all each morning and the sensational baked Xmas dinner with the biggest sticky date puddings I’ve ever seen! The grounds are beautifully maintained, with our friends and family saying photos don’t do it justice! Sitting around the fireplace in the hut was absolutely perfect for all of us to have drinks and food. Diamondvale Estate is a place of true beauty and tranquility. We would never stay anywhere else and will go again. Thank you Rachael and David for making this weekend such a fabulous one!

Very peaceful and quiet location in a bushland setting with accommodation options well spaced for privacy. Not within walking distance to eating places or shops but we were aware of that when booking. Full payment required in advance with 12 months credit offered in lieu of refunds in the event of cancellation. The 2 bedroom Cottage was clean, very functional/practical and well designed with ample supply of coffee and condiments provided. Very much enjoyed our stay and we were offered complimentary breakfast due to advised power outages caused by some work being undertaken by Energex in the area. Not a place for budget price travellers but highly recommended and the beds are extremely comfortable for a good night's sleep

The cottages are meticulously clean, warm, cosy and have a lovely ambience. The fire is well stocked with wood for those cold nights requiring a glass of red with friends around the fire. The property is so well maintained and David and Rachael are happy to help with any requests. We love this place, having been there 2 times prior. We would stay nowhere else!

Me and my fiance stayed for a few nights in the Camelia Cottage - which was the perfect size for the two of us! We spent every night curled up in front of the fireplace. Our first morning we did the trail walk into town, which was a lot of fun. We were fortunate to see lots of different wildlife in the area, we even saw a red-bellied black on the otherside of the creek! There's plenty of places to visit in the area to keep you busy, and even more places to get a feed. The gardens at Diamondvale Estate are immaculate, and have provide lots of entertainment and different personalities to keep you amused, too! Some of our favourites were the resident kitties, Buddy and Catso! Those sweet little cuddle-bugs were so cheeky and affection. We were blessed to have multiple visits a day from the two, with plenty of chin-scritches and snuggles to be given as tribute.
If you're interested in a cosy, quiet and private place to call home for a few nights, Diamondvale Estate is well worth the experience! 10/10 this is the place to stay!

We hired out all the cottages for my husband’s early 70th celebrations (January is too hot to have roaring fires and red wine!) It was a fabulous weekend, with our shared meals in the Pioneer hut with the fire inside and campfire outside. The platter we ordered was good and the homemade sausage rolls were amazing. There was tea and coffee set up all weekend, with milk in the fridge and room for our drinks as well. All crockery, Glasses and cutlery were available in the hut. Our cottages were so comfortable and warm. We decided against the fire in the cottage and used the reverse cycle heating. Our Forget-me-not cottage had a kitchenette with fridge, coffee machine, microwave and hot plates whereas the double cottages actually have an oven! This was handy to heat up a few things to go with our bbq on the Saturday night. Rachael and David were excellent hosts. I’d thoroughly recommend this venue for either a couples getaway or a family get together.

Diamondvale cottages are in the most perfect location... close to Stanthorpe but just outside. Set against a country backdrop complete with a creek, kangaroos, home comforts and complete privacy.
I can't recommend the cottages more. They were perfect for us traveling with another couple we had two separate kingsize/ensuite/balcony bedrooms at opposite ends of the cottage. In between the bedrooms was a beautiful living space with a countryside landscape and cosy fireplace.
The point of difference with Diamondvale were the personal touch points. When we arrived there was a scented candle burning, the fireplace had been prepared with only a match to ignite the welcoming and warming flames. The bathrooms had local products to soothe and pamper. The kitchen was well equiped and with a much welcomed coffee pod machine and beautiful teas. There was also a herb garden available for our pleasure when we wanted to prepare a meal at home. When we sadly departed our all too short stay I had left an item in the fridge. Racheal very kindly retrieved it and posted it back to me. What more can I say. 10/10 excellence?!

After Covid and a cancelled trip in 2022, we finally made it back to Australia in September, and spent a relaxing few days at Diamondvale to recover from the journey and see a bit of Aussie country life. The cottages are very comfortable, and you really feel you're in deep countryside - although Stanthorpe is only a few minutes away by car or a (mostly!) gentle stroll along the creek.
We loved being so close to nature, with horses, kangaroos, lots of birds and a very friendly cat all on our doorstep. We also saw our first snake - thankfully from a distance and he slithered off pretty quickly!
Diamondvale is a great place for a relaxing and peaceful stay and a real taste of country life. It's a great base for visiting local wineries as well as enjoying the stunning local scenery. Rachael and David will leave you to your own devices but are very responsive if you need anything.
We stayed in Coolibah cottage which has a fairly basic kitchen although it has all you need for a few days, and there are lots of dining options nearby. Rachael left us a lovely grazing platter on our first day, showcasing some of the local produce. It's well worth doing a wine tour (we went with Filippos) and there's lots of foodie options close too.

The whole experience here was excellent. So much on offer from a very comfortable and private cottage with every necessity, to sprawling grounds, character shed containing bbq, fridge, dining and lounge areas overlooking Quart Pot Creek, kangaroos, wallabies and acres of natural bush surrounds. Hosts were very friendly and helpful ensuring our stay was one to remember. Location was a plus too as the township is only 2 klms away and in close proximity to many great attractions in the surrounding areas. We had such a relaxing stay!

This is our fourth visit to Diamondvale Cottages and the new owners have kept up the fine tradition of excellent service that the previous owners gave. The cottages are roomy and inviting with toasty fireplaces. The kitchens are well appointed so one can cook meals whilst staying here, although we also dined out several times. There are DVDs and games available if you don't retire early after all the hiking, exploring and wine-tasting you will do whilst staying here. Sitting on the deck with a coffee in hand, listening to the birds and the babbling of Quart Pot Creek whilst watching the resident kangaroos is an absolute delight. Diamondvale is our accommodation of choice for Stanthorpe, and we shall definitely be returning.
