Debbie is a terrific host, who provided a warm, charming cottage for my friend and I to enjoy. It had a fireplace in the centre with lots of wood and kindling to use during our stay. She also provided all the essential appliances to cook food and/or wash clothes. I highly recommend Briar Rose Cottages.

My mum and I went away for a brief break, to chill before Christmas. We were fortunate that the Mulberry Cottage was available for us and my Maltese Shih Tszu, Rocky! As soon as we walked into the cottage we felt at home and comfortable.

We're seasoned travelers, so we came prepared with some extra supplies (dish washing liquid, kitchen wipes, coffee plunger...) but we need not have bothered! The cottage was so well-appointed and furnished that there was not one thing we needed and was no able to find. As we were staying in summer, there was both air-conditioning and pedestal fans for each room. The games, books and puzzles was a great touch and would easily accommodate families. As there is a well-maintained wood burner there, we would be keen to stay in winter.

The beds were so comfy! I had no problems in sleeping in each day.

The three cottages are located close to one another without compromising on privacy. I would recommend that, if possible, group of friends/families hire all three cottages at once. It would make a good getaway for multiple families of different sizes.

I was lucky enough to have two nights here in the one bedroom loft cottage booked about 6 months in advance.
Debbie is amazing and such a helpful host.
Fire was lit for me upon arrival, and then relit on Saturday whilst I was out touring so it was so warm both late afternoons coming home.
The bedroom stays very warm.
Loved the little touches like Tim Tam's and the cleanliness of the cottage.
Nice walking distance to town.
Can park right beside cottage.
My only recommendation would be some hot chocolate otherwise there is nothing to fault.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, now I know why these cottages are so popular.
Thanks Debbie

We recently rented all 3 cottages for a family getaway - best decision ever! Each cottage was immaculately prepared; generously equipped and very comfortable. You would want for nothing in any of the cottages and our stay was rated a 10/10 by all 12 of us. The children enjoyed exploring the large backyard and despite the weather not wanting to play nice, we were still able to enjoy the fire pit at night. It is obvious that Debbie takes great pride and genuine care in her cottages, and the consistently high reviews and ratings are well deserved. There were added extras and personal touches everywhere and these really added to the homely feel and exemplified the true care taken. Debbie is a highly effective and prompt communicator and a pleasure to deal with.
Whilst we had NO complaints whatsoever, the only thing we can offer is a mere couple of suggestions for Cedar Cottage: it would’ve been handy to have another 2 towel rails or hooks in the main bathroom; we could’ve benefitted from a door mat just inside to catch remaining grass and wet shoe prints (there was one outside) and with 6 people in the cottage a larger sized family fridge would’ve been great especially as there is ample room for one. Once again - none of these things detracted from or negatively impacted our stay.
Overall - the fire warmed our bodies; the complimentary port warmed our bellies and the wonderful hospitality warmed our souls. Thankyou once again Debbie. We look forward to a return stay.

My husband and I stayed in this quaint little cottage for our anniversary. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable with lots of character. Debbie provided finishing touches like a warm fire to greet us as we walked in for the first time, not to mention the timtam biscuits. The cottage is located very close to all amenities but quiet enough to enjoy the birdlife in the gardens. We had a wonderful two night stay and highly recommend.

Our 4th stay at BRC. Peace and privacy on the southern end of town while only a few minutes walk to the main central shopping precinct. Very comfortable bedding, great supply of firewood for the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, very clean and welcoming including the complimentary Port and Tim Tams on arrival - simply one of our favourite regions to visit for all the things to see and do, and BRC is the ideal place to stay as a family or a couple.

The Briar Rose Cottages are a perfect spot to stay while in Stanthorpe. Either in a small group, couple or would be ideal to book more than one cottage with bigger groups. We stayed in the one bedroom cottage which was very quaint and had everything we needed. Gorgeous view from the little back deck at dusk with kangaroos feeding in the paddock behind. Great communication from host, Debbie.

Our group of six ladies from the Sunshine Coast stayed here in July this year (2020). Debbie, the proprietor of these 3 cottages, was very helpful when we were making our booking, and informative about where to go and what to see whilst there. We only stayed 2 nights, but wish we had stayed the week. The Cedar Cottage we stayed in, is a 3 bedroom home, with a roaring fire which had been lit before we arrived and the house was warm and welcoming! She also added little treats, like the port/6 glasses on the kitchen bench, and a packet of Tim Tams, what a lovely touch! Would absolutely recommend this place to stay, she also has 2 other cottages on the property for rent.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Briar Rose Cottages in the delightful Silky Oak Cottage. Debbie is a great host who goes the extra mile to ensure you're comfortable, and the Tim Tams and port on arrival were a welcome touch. Situated just on the edge of Stanthorpe, it was an easy walk to the town centre for dinner with a pleasant stroll back to walk it off!
The cottage itself is stunning and the perfect size for a couple, and includes a wood stove for those chilly Stanthorpe nights (yes even in Summer!)
Special thanks to Debbie, we really loved our stay and can't wait to come back again.
