We’ve just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Cottages. Emma provided a substantial basket of goodies to cover our stay. As a large group, we arranged a local caterer and enjoyed a delicious Christmas in July dinner that we had plenty of room to hold in the 3 bedroom house. This was the perfect central location for everyone to congregate at night before returning to our tranquil cottage. Thanks for a fabulous stay, we’ll be back.

My Wife booked Honeysuckle Cottages for our 3 day stay in Stanthorpe. We had a little trouble getting into Stanthorpe ( due to flooding in the area) the owner of the cottages was very flexible and understood if we couldn't make it on the day and offered to change days of our stay. Long story short we had to wait at Allora for the bridge in Warwick to be cleared and checked.

The check-in was straight forward and Emma made us feel very welcome , she was very down to earth and her family was lovely people We got a breakfast basket filled with food from the area. (Yummy)

The cottages are cosy and clean, and surrounded by tall gum trees, the cottages have a kitchen with stovetop, microwave and small fridge. In the lounge room nice comfortable couch and chair with a DVD player and Tv and there is a good DVD library at reception.

The cottage is air conditioned and has a fireplace.

The bathroom has a spa/shower and vanity and toilet and lastly, has washing machine and dryer just outside of the bathroom.

We did have a minor issue with the cottage and Emma and the team sorted it out the next morning.

Honeysuckle Cottages is located just off the New England highway, there is a Ampol petrol station and McDonald's on the corner of the street you need to take to get to Honeysuckle Cottages. The road noise from the highway and petrol station and McDonald's is non existent.

I have no issues and will definitely stay at Honeysuckle Cottages when we visit the Stanthorpe area again.

Had a three night getaway to Stanthorpe. Honeysuckle Cottages were amazing. Friendly greeting, amazing breakfast hamper, cottages were very clean and had everything you could possibly need, really enjoyed just sitting out under the trees in the garden relaxing. Great location to explore all the Stanthorpe attractions. Highly recommend and great value for money.

These cottages are cute and very clean. The hosts are very helpful and the breakfast basket is very generous. Local produce is used and toiletries are from local businesses. You have a choice of aircon or a beautiful fireplace. It’s on the outskirts of town and everything is of close proximity.
Wineries and brewery are just down the road. We also hiked Girraween National Park. We also took our own bikes and rode the country back road.

A warm and helpful welcome at reception. Cottage # 3 was quiet and private with a separate bedroom. The living area has a wood fire which made our stay so cozy. Kitchen area has everything you could want and there's no white plastic kettle! Everything has been thoughtfully done. The breakfast hamper supplied, contained a generous amount of high quality food. Only thing I would down score was the bed - it was way too firm.

Arrived at Honeysuckle early Sunday afternoon and was met by a very polite young man (about 4 ) who “had to go and get his mum” who was busy elsewhere.

The check in process went smoothly and we were provided with keys and breakfast hamper (eggs / bacon / bread / milk / apples / various jams) which all looked nice.

The Villas (we were in #2) are described as luxurious but I think that’s a bit of a stretch – sure they are neat / tidy and clean but the furniture / kitchen and bathroom are dated as is the carpet that had a number of stains on it -in fact there was an old piece of carpet just sitting in front of the fireplace which I’m not sure why it was needed for as it was in worse condition than the original carpet. The beds are really good and the elec blankets are welcomed but our Villa was crying out for an upgrade and some $ to be spent on it.

The property is directly next door to a 24 hours Service Station and McDonalds but that was not an issue and the place is very quiet with no road / related noise.

Would I go back…………….not sure .

This retreat was discovered by us through a random online search. We are so glad we made such an inspired choice! From the booking through Expedia through email correspondence with our hostess Emma, through meeting her at Honey Suckle Cottages after a pleasant 2.5 hour drive from Brisbane, all went perfectly.
The cottage was spotlessly presented with every necessity including lots of firewood for the very effective stove. The basket of DIY breakfast groceries was more than enough for us for the two night stay. We are already planning our next midweek stay - probably a bit longer!

It was cold! We would have liked some heat in the morning as the temperature dropped. The knobs unfortunately were removed from the heater so we resorted to the fireplace. The provisions for breakfast were great. The beds were very comfortable. The shower however could see some improvement in the water pressure. It was extremely quiet so we slept peacefully. Just did not like waking up to a cold environment.

Thank you so much for your review. Yes, there was definitely a cold snap while you were here! The fires generally keep the cottages very warm, but it can be tricky with a sudden cold snap. We are happy you enjoyed the breakfast basket.

We LOVED this visit to Stanthorpe! Friendly service from the owners, the cottage had everything we needed. We received a bountiful basket with bacon, eggs, bread, croissants, spreads, milk…so much more. Loved the fire place, and bush setting. You are close to town but it feels like you are way out in the bush. Will definitely come back!

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 night stay at Honeysuckle Cottages. The cottage was very well equipped and so cozy, especially with the wood heater going. There was a great supply of wood too. We were very impressed with the breakfast provisions, which were generous and a lovely variety of local produce.
