We booked here for 3 nights (Wed-Sat checkout). On arrival Michael had welcomed us and promptly gave us the keys to our room/chalet. The room had recently been refurbished and still had the smell of newness about it. The bathroom area was very well appointed with a large shower and modern facilities. The room had a small fridge with microwave, kettle, iron and wall mounted TV. A 10 minute leisurely walk and you are in the town centre. Our last night we stopped in and played cards in the outside communal area which was very well furnished and peacfully quiet. We would highly recommend this place as an ideal base for touring the wineries and for kicking back and chilling. There are renovation works ongoing, but didn't affect our stay. Would highly recommend the newly refurbished rooms!! 1 very small issue which i think would have been remodied if we asked. Only 2 hangers in the wardrobes.

We stayed three nights at this motel and would happily stay much longer. The owners have recently refurbished the rooms to a very high standard. The bathroom would not be out of place in a magazine. Our room had all the crockery and cutlery etc that we could want and the high tech bedside clock was perfectly designed to provide the time at night without glare. We were also impressed by the helpful and friendly staff. The location is a very close to Sentimental Rocks, a delightful stroll among granite tors, and we walked to town (with its numerous great cafes and restaurants) on several occasions. This will be our go-to motel whenever we visit Stanthorpe.

This room was small. But yet a 5 star review. It was just a night, solo. The spaces are tight but the room is well designed to take advantage of every square inch. The luscious king bed added to the compactness of the surrounding spaces. It worked though. Once i lay on that bed I was done. Soft pillow top, feather doona and pillows. Fluffy towels rain /euro shower combo and excellent lighting. Many motels overlook the lighting and for older people in particular or those wearing spectacles, lighting placement and type is so important. LED reading lights hidden in the dado rail above the bed, strategic soft feature light and lamps...perfect. Photo canvases of the wine trail and a snow covered Stanthorpe. Super clean. Everything you needed...and a microwave. Microwave so important in country towns where things close early and nothing much is open on a public holiday. I stayed in their basic room but they have a better Premier room with a coffee machine. Guest laundry and kitchen sink area, BBQ and lots of outdoor seating options. Anyone looking to buy a tired old country motel and renovate would do worse than coming here. Wifi worked but was a teeny bit slow to load and did buffer a bit more than any other motel i have stayed in this trip...only negative i could find, other than the plantation shutters were not total blackout. Not a big deal for me. Keep up the excellent work.

This motel was completely renovated recently and it is apparent that the new owners have put their heart and soul into running it.

The rooms are immaculate - absolutely clean with quality fixtures and fittings.
Moreover, the nightly tariff was very reasonable.

On their website, there was a stipulation that a two night stay was required for the date of our intended stay (we stayed for only one night as we were en route back from Noosa to Canberra). When I rang them, the owner, Michael, was able to book us in for one night and he provided other useful information such as recommended places to eat. He also gave us a discount for booking direct with them!

At time of check in, I found Michael to be very personable and affable and I ended up chatting with him for about 30 minutes while my wife waited in the car. She finally rang me on my mobile thinking that something had gone wrong with our booking, but it was nothing of that sort.

I highly recommend this motel. We will certainly like to return.

We loved our stay at The Granite Belt Motel for 3 nights. The owners were great, Michael was extremely helpful with local Information which we greatly appreciated. The Motel setting is great, beautiful gardens and outside all the rooms there are table and chairs and also large outdoor lounges in the general undercover area. There is a BBQ provided which we used and in the Guest Laundry they provide BBQ utensils , cooking oil and a sink for washing up afterwards. We booked a refurbished King room, room 13, the room was very clean and comfortable. Our room was tastefully furnished, the bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have ample seating inside a Motel room as well as a mini fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The bathroom provided a good hot shower with 2 shower heads including a rain forest shower head. Wifi was fast and strong. We would highly recommend this Motel to anyone travelling to Stanthorpe.

We had a couple of nights at The Granite Belt Motel in Stanthorpe.
We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms and were delighted by the facilities and decoration. A king sized bed provided wonderful relaxation and a good nights sleep and coupled with a refrigerator, micro wave, TV and cutlery/crockery and a new bathroom we were impressed by the value for money.
Home prepared breakfast on the outside table in the garden was a brilliant start to the day.
Convenient for the town or the main roads the location is ideal. Perhaps the best feature was the owners who ensured we knew the best local places to visit and their recommendations for evening meals proved to be inspired! Gourmet meals at both 'Essen' and 'QCWT'.
Wherever we went we met super hospitality from all the local businesses who are waiting for the tourists to rediscover the attractions of The Granite Belt.
There was even rain during the night so perhaps their luck is finally changing??

We stayed for two nights at Granite Belt Motel. I can only describe the motel as exceptional. The owner was welcoming and friendly on our arrival, which is so good after a day of travelling. The motel room we had was just so impressive. It is very nicely decorated, and lots of nice extras that made our stay comfortable, from coffee machine with a milk frother and capsules; extra long pillows; comfy bed; shower has the tap as you walk into the shower; very nice shower. There was even, in addition to the soaps, shampoos and conditioners, a pack with cotton buds and wipes. The room also has microwave, cutlery and cups. In addition to the room, there is a play area for kids, table and chairs etc on the grounds. I would absolutely recommend Granite Belt Motel and we will definitely be back.

We stayed for 2 nights. Refurbished rooms, very comfy beds and very clean. We chose this hotel as walking distance to Local restaurants and we could have drinks with dinner and not worry about a taxi. Rooms were serviced daily and there were pleasant areas to sit outside to watch the sunset and sample goodies that we had collected during the day.

We stayed in one of the twin renovated rooms which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay while hiking on the trails. Room was immaculate, beds comfy, very classy renovated bathroom ( hint: you need to have both fan and heat buttons on to get nice warm air!). Not often you get a real hairdryer and iron/ board! Although it dropped to 2 deg overnight we were cosy under down duvets with a whisper quiet reverse air con. Would definitely stay again. Good luck with the remaining renno guys!

Although this motel is absolutely beautifully renovated and modern, very clean and very comfortable, the rooms are Small! I would not recommend it longer than a night, particularly if you are looking for spacious rooms. Even the 2 bedroom motel room advertised as a “deluxe unit” was small for my husband and I. It should be called a small 2 bedroom motel with small kitchen area.
we had to use the second bedroom to put our suitcases as the cupboard was the same size as a broom closet & there were no drawers or anywhere to store suitcases. The bathroom is lovely and a decent size which was great!
I would definitely not call this a deluxe “unit” nor would I stay here if I had a family. you would need to store things in your cars unless you want to step over things. The kitchen / living area is very small if there were 4 people in the space, it would feel overcrowded. The 4 barstools around the bench are dysfunctional as they are quite tall and you have to hunch over to eat at the bench. There are also chairs in the corner of the bedrooms which make it even smaller. There is no way anyone would want to sit at the chair and use the corner bench. we had to move the chairs out of the way just to walk past.
if you are just looking for a stop over and not spending time in your room I would certainly recommend this hotel,
it also has a really nice outdoor area, Great customer service and lovely rooms as I said but I just want people to be aware that the rooms are very pokey - even the “deluxe” apartment.
