Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great spot. Just a few kilometres from Stanthorpe but a very peaceful and secluded spot. Great staff and excellent amenities. Great sized sites. Don't miss this one. Right on the dam and great bushland surroundings.

Great caravan park, large drive through sites, the grounds very well kept. Pippa in the office is amazing, customer service is impeccable. Very friendly atmosphere to the whole place. The amenities blocks are spotless, timed showers but plenty of time to have a good shower, with hot water. The views are amazing, great views of Storm King Dam. We have been going here for many yards and will continue for many years more, You can have a camp fire if you bring your own fire pit, fire wood available on site. We highly recommend this park,

So happy we stayed here at this beautiful, well kept holiday park. Welcoming reception. Easy to drive around and very well laid out. So much space between Motorhomes, Camper vans, Tents etc that you didn’t feel crammed in. Excellent power/water sites. Rubbish disposal and dump area. Lots of areas to explore and great fun for families. Conveniently located just minutes from town. Really need a few days to stay here as there is so much to see and do in and around Stanthorpe. We loved it and highly recommend it.

I concur with previous review of January 2022 about no hot water. We stayed at this park for 5 nights April 2022 and the no hot water still has not been addressed. Like the other reviewer I can handle the 5 minute timer on the shower but after 2 nights of cold water showers reported this problem to the office. It is obvious that this park has no maintenance schedule in place otherwise this problem would have been rectified. When reporting this problem to reception I was told that travellers are very hard on the taps and she has seen bits of taps scattered in the bathrooms. Could it be that travellers have got feed up with no hot showers and taken it upon themselves to fix this problem with a wrench? Maybe!!! Not a happy customer.

Lovely cool Sunday morning go to have a shower and NO Hot water. I could handle the 5 minute thing but when it takes over 1 minute for the hot to come through hat is a bit rough. Anyway I had a cold shower and will never return to this place. If you charge money for something, it should be available. Do not understand how this works?

My husband and our neighbours stayed in our caravans for a week and were pleasantly surprised at how great this park is!! Unfortunately for the owners, numbers were low due to a local COVID lockdown, however, we loved having the park almost to ourselves!!! Even if the park was at 100% the sites are SOOOOO BIG you wouldn't even know your neighbours! We took our pooch how loved going down near the dam to explore! The amenities block was spotlessly clean and an easy walk from all sites. We spent 1 night in the recreation block (it was sooooo cold!) which was great - 4 kitchens with loads of fridges/freezers and ovens/stoves to use! Also a big screen TV, large lounge, table and chairs to sit/chat around and a pool table and air hockey table!!! LOVE this place!!! We didn't see the on site apartments but they look like they are in a great locatiion. Do yourselves a favour (as Molly says!) and stay here - LOVED IT!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in the 3 bedroom cabin. The water was absolutely beautiful. Pippa was an absolute pleasure to deal with and a pure gem. We had friends staying in the caravan park side and we were able to walk over during the evenings and sit around the fire with them. It was peaceful and relaxing. The fire helped to keep the cabin warm for the stay, even though it was very cold outside. I'd love to return during the summer and go out on the water. My friends were very impressed with the caravan park side and the facilities there.

We have stayed here before in a caravan, and loved the place. We had to sell our caravan due to ill health, and elected to stay in a cabin. We where very pleasantly surprised, plenty of room, very comfortable double bed, it has an electric hot plate, toaster, microwave oven. All the crockery and cutlery. It also has a fire pit, which we used to cook in a camp oven. There was a vert good fan heater, which came in very handy. We saw a white kangaroo, and lots of bird life. Amazing views across King Storm Dam. The ladies in the office come shop are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. We will be returning

Check in process is simple, staff is friendly. Clean amenities with plenty of room between camp sites. Fire wood available to be purchased. Showers are on a 5 minute timer which is good for not wasting water. Camp site is also close to Storm King Dam

One of our top camping locations. We have camped all over QLD and this is one of our new favourites. Large open sites, lots of green space, quiet, dog friendly and simply beautiful. Boarders Storm King Dam where you can fish, swim and kayak. Excellent amenities block, teenagers hang out, community kitchen and wash up area. Friendly staff and nice out of the way location. Within close proximity to Stanthorpe where you can take day trips, top up on food items at the local Woolies, Aldi and IGA. Very impressed overall.
