A very spur of the moment trip found me booking the fabulous Stannum Lodge Motor Inn. We are a family of 2 adults and 1 teenager, and our room was excellent. Maurice & Mark couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Our room was absolutely spotless, clean to an extraordinarily high standard, which we loved. The rooms was extremely well stocked, the kitchenette has everything you need, the fridge is a great size, as is the microwave. The wardrobe is very roomy to hang coats etc., and there is an ironing board and iron in the room.
The beds and pillows are very comfy, the sheets are so soft and very high quality, it was a lovely surprise to find such beautiful linen at such a reasonably priced motor inn. The bathroom products are gorgeous, and there is also a hairdryer. The location is very convenient. More than happy to stay here again.

Stannum Lodge is in a perfect location & one of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in. The sofa was a very comfy spot to relax after a busy day. This well cared for property boasts attention to detail throughout to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you to hosts Mark & Maurice who were very pleasant and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay here, it is excellent value for money.

One of the better motels we have stayed in & we have stayed in many here & overseas.
From checkin with the very friendly Maurice at reception to checkout we had not 1 complaint.

As usual our hosts Mark and Maurice were helpful and very friendly. The rooms are very well maintained and have the little extras (not found at other Motor Inns) to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommend staying here and be sure to book directly with them for the best price and any information about the region you might need. We will stay again.

The room was very cosy and clean with a small indoor sitting area and a well equipped kitchenette.The split system heating was effective in cold Stanthorpe conditions. The owners have thought of all the little things, including a cheese board and knife with champagne or wines glasses to consume your local purchases. No expense has been spared to make your stay comfortable. The outdoor areas and garden were pleasant and well presented and would be a nice place to sit in warmer weather.

Honestly can’t fault this accomodation or the friendly service provided by the owners. We stayed 2nights & wish we’d stayed the 3rd rather than in Warwick (they could take some lessons from Stannum Lodge). Friendly helpful owners at check in, spotlessly clean room (very reassuring during covid), kitchenette stocked with everything you could need including kitchen sink! Comfy bed, sparkly clean piping hot shower, block out curtains, sofa, hanging space, decent sized mirror. You don’t realise how much you miss these amenities & we’ve become so used to “making do” in our travels we had given up thinking places like Stannum Lodge still exist. They tick every box. Even the surrounding grounds were immaculate. The owners should feel very proud of what they offer travellers! Enjoyed it so much we have decided to visit longer next time & bush walk even further into Girraween.

Just stayed three nights at Stannum Lodge Motor Inn while we explored the region. What fantastic hosts Mark and Maurice are. We stayed in room 1 and had great sleep in the very comfortable bed. The bathroom, while not huge, has absolutely everything you need including a lovely hot shower and great towels. There is a kitchenette if you want to microwave a meal and make a cuppa. You can also use the guest laundry. We had our car parked right at the door which makes unpacking and packing up easy. The hosts are always available if you need them and the ladies who clean the rooms are friendly and helpful. This is a perfect place to stay in Stanthorpe and is an easy stroll into the main street for shopping or a meal. Also, book directly as you get a discount. You won't be disappointed!

Our first trip to beautiful Stanthorpe and we chose Stannum Lodge at random - how lucky for us that we did! The place was spotless, comfortable and quiet. Mark and Maurice are lovely and have really put some thought into making guests feel welcome- right down to toothpicks in the kitchen and make-up removal pads in the bathroom! Location is ideal as it's an easy stroll to town and even closer to the river with its BBQs, birdlife and walking paths. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to Stanthorpe.

All-round Stannum Lodge Motel was in a perfect location, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-fitted out, enabling us to enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay in the Granite Belt. Friendly and professional service as well as kindness when a much-loved possession was left behind, it arrived by registered mail within days. Stanthorpe is just a few hours from home but made a great base for 5 days. Wildflowers and walking in Girraween NP and other locations, wineries, fabulous historic museum, local walks along Quart Pot Creek and plenty of dining options.

Hosts are very nice & friendly, full of recommendations & information on the town. Rooms were exceptionally clean & comfortable with lots of extras you wouldn’t expect, the outdoor areas are very inviting especially for small groups. Easy walk to town. Would definitely stay again.
